    I work in downtown Baltimore. Traffic as far as I'm concerned is second only to New York. Tourists everywhere thanks to our Inner Harbor. Cost of living is high because of the proximity to NYC & DC. But this is our claim to fame though......

    Violent crime in Baltimore rose 15.4 percent between 2015 and 2016, which is much higher than the national average (a 4.1 percent increase). CBS rates Baltimore as the #4 most dangerous city in America. Detroit is #1.

    Luckily we moved out of the city and only have to work in it. We live in the country amidst farmlands. We are not in the boondocks but far enough away to make life better. The city used to be safer and great. No more.

    We'd both trade it all in a heartbeat to live the rest of our lives on any of the Hawaiian islands. And trust me, we have thought about it hard.
