I was loading up at Walmart once and 2 guys walked right by, one tossed a plastic package in my bed. I just picked it up, followed him and when he got to his car yelled "here you dropped this!" and put it on the hood. Asshole

Is anyone running Bridgestone Dueller A/T tires?
    If so;
How do you like them ?

    Are they winey/noisy?

I need new tires in the Fall and this is what the Guy at Firestone was steering me to while I got an alignment. 265/70R/17.

I'm not replacing the wheel$, so the stock 17X7 will have to do.

    Yes Quoted $900

How did you like the Firestones?

I don't know any of these other you speak of other than recognizing the name.

Since Bridgestone bought Firestone I think they may be compatible.

I just want a tire that's not going to whine at me at 70MPH +.

Down pouring and a lot of thunder down here. Grass needs the rain... it's looking like it would in August already.

I can't speak for the Bridgestone. I typically run Goodyear Wrangler duratracs. I think they look pretty great, and work very well in all conditions I've had them in, while not being too aggressive.

That said, I have my stock Firestone destination LE2 tires if you're looking for a cheap alternative

Morning all. Rained like crazy here last night, now it's just drizzling. But it poured long enough to top off the water tanks, which were getting low, so that's good.

I’ve ran falken wildpeaks for about 45k miles now. I put about 150 miles a day on them 90% highway. Very budget friendly, great traction in rain and snow, and they are fairly quiet. The only
Time I notice any hum at all is if the radio is off entirely

Morning. Was up most of the night with a fever so home today. When I was emailing my boss I looked it up in our HR system, 3rd sick day in the 6 years I've been here.

We get different banks of time we can use. Personal, vacation, sick, and family sick.

Family sick, for me, is 5 days per year. I don't know about others, but it's probably similar.

I know a couple people who use all of their family sick time every single year. They feel they're entitled to it, and use it when they just feel like they want a day off rather than for its intended purpose. It kind of irks me.

    Agreed.

I use my sick days for when I am sick, and that's about it. If my kids are sick, I use a personal or vacation day (depending on what I have left).

So far I have used 2 sick days this year, when I had the flu back in February. Typically I don't call out sick, but the flu... well, that was another story.

I think this year I get an extra week off because of how long I have been here, so I think I get 4 weeks now! :bananadance:

We get 5 sick days, 4 personal days, 2 volunteer days, and then your vacation days.

Morning all. Can confirm no water gets into the FJ with the rear window propped open and driving through the rain.

Picked up a new toy last night. My old Craftsman cordless impact never really had the grunt to do much more than lugs, and the batteries were approaching at least 9 years old and barely hold any charge.

Picked up a DeWalt 20v brushless 1/2" impact. Hopefully it lasts at least 1/2 as long as the Craftsman seeing as it's about~3x the price....dewalt-impact-wrenches-dcf899m1-c3_1000.jpg

They probably get 10 sick, 3 personal, 15-20 vacation depending on years of service, and the 5 family sick. So, no shortage of days. Plus, the normal sick time accrues without limit. They just feel the need to burn through the family sick time because they lose it otherwise. Very rarely is it a real "family sick" issue.

Granted, I get more of the other days than they do, but I've never used a family sick day and have only used maybe 3 normal sick days in 7 years.
