would you guys say it worth getting a $30 warranty on the shocks?

 

From 4wheel parts? What shocks and how long? Also what’s the manufactures warranty.

They tried to stick me with the warranty for 3 years but arb has 5 years so I said screw it.

 

the bilstein 5100. manufacture is 5 year he offered 3 year. He said if there is a problem i would have to deal with bilstein but if i had a problem with his warrenty he would just swap them out

 

Really comes down to what you think. $30 is cheap piece of mind. Got the warrantee on my tent. Didn’t on the lockers.

Speaking of winch care. I have to unspool mine and inspect/clean. Hopefully no kinks.

anything that goes wrong they'll say it was due to install error or abuse or offroading use.
waste of money. keep the $30 and buy some beer

Meh. Went for it with the tent. It’s a no questions asked apparently. So far I have had nothing but great customer service with 4wp when it comes to ordering stuff. He’ll they even allowed me to keep a twin compressor after a fuck up. I offered to pay since I didn’t want someone to get fired and they said it was all good.

 

what does said warranty actually cover? and does that include off road use?

 

Apparently anything that goes wrong regardless of fault it is covered.

they'll say no offroad use and then if they didn't do install could be pricks about that.
I'm just thinking from my dealings with fox not being able to say yes or no until they inspect which could lead to me paying even more.

That’s the difference. It’s not a manufacture. It’s them as a company. Essentially with shocks the bullies do tend to shit the bed. Not saying that your wrong as I have had siniliar dealings. Just the way it was explained was that if the product fails for what ever reason within 3 years you get one new.

 

but if stuff breaks and it gets replaced with same thing for free how do I justify upgrading stuff to stuff i don't need to the girlfriend?

I mean I used the broken shock and adjustment to its length to get her to say yes to the bumps.

I already had Timbren bumps.
but whats wrong with having Icon air bumps instead?

 

^Timbren bumps are not good for shock absorption. They are more like a spring.
