265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3w e-rated on stock OR wheels. No balance issues and very smooth on the highway. Seems like balance with ATs might be luck of the draw and whose doing the work.

It took 3 tries to get mine balanced correctly on the 4Runner TRD Pro Rims. First 2 attempts they used a lot of weights at it was terrible above 70mph, for the 3rd attempt I marked the tires and then had them dismounted/remounted with a different orientation. 20k miles later, still ok.

You do realize that it’s only like 75 miles per hour right?

Also forgot to mention 265 70 17 ko2s on one of the other trucks and 285 55 20 ko2s on the '13 and all of them are smooth as glass up to 100mph, haven't needed to go over that lol.

I mounted mine myself minimal weight required. The tires are smooth as glass cruising at all highway speeds (55-80). The first time I rotated the tires was at 42,000 miles and they still look great even wear 8/32 front and rear 33psi. Been running the BFG AT for the last 15 years and with proper pressure these tires are butter smooth and will last 100k

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I have MTs with no real noticeable vibration. Actually I feel more at very low speed its like running over a really small washboard. Goes away around 10mph or less.

Find a shop that can road force balance.. the tire shop I bought my KO2s from said they were balanced... Had pretty bad vibrations so I brought em too a different shop that had a road force machine and they are smooth as butter now.

Second this, worked at a toyota dealership when the BFGs were coming standard on TRD tacomas and Tundras, had a lot of complaints and sometimes our tech would spend HOURS trying to balance a set to no avail.

Avoided K02 like the plague ever since

BFG KO2's here, by far the biggest pita I've ever dealt with to get balanced and I
was going to change them but when I went in for service my dealership just got in a
load force balancing machine and BOOM! nor more issues.... I can't tolerate, still
not quite right but hardly noticeable now - I won't buy them again.

It is a gimmick in the tire balancing world to get you to spend more to get your tires balanced. Don't waste your money on it.

I was in the same boat with my falken wildpeaks and had them balanced on 3 separate occasions by 3 separate machines including a road force balance. My final solution? 4 ounces of "counter act balance beads" in each tire and it now drives 95% better couldn't be happier.

How it is a gimmick? Road force balance will be a sure fire way to tell if the tire is out of round or where the heavy spot is. Also shows you where to index the tire to correct the issue.

I have had steering wheel vibes and seat vibes ever since getting my ko2’s. Had them balanced 4 times. I recently discovered this may potentially be a result of my lug centric Methods, so I’ll be installing some hub centric rings to see if that gets me anywhere.

I will say that the steering wheel vibration happens more severely every other rotation, which makes me suspect it is indeed a bad balance.
