Haha. Had to go 275. Worst case is they don’t fit and my dad can use them. But found a couple guys that have a rim with 0 or -6 offset and they say they don’t rub.

    they'll rub flexed.
those that say they dont rub just dont flex it at all or they don't notice the rub.

It wont be a terrible rub like a 285, but rub is rub and any rub is not good for a tire.
you'll definitely need to get rid of mud flaps, and possibly fix rub with heat gun, but could be body mount too depending on alignment

See they were saying if I went say -12 then i would have a higher chance rubbing on plastic then on the body mount. Only other option is go back to the 265 but then I’m 1/2” taller.

Are these the Timbrens you had @Joe23 ?

I find they are taller than stock bumps and I am hitting on them quite often. They are mutli-stage so they are supposed to?

They work great off road when I flex it :militarypress: no complaints there at all.

Factory spec is + offset as soon as you start going less than that you're moving the wheel further out.
-6 or -12 both are being pushed out more and become more likely to rub body mount.
Mine are 0 offset and rubbed a lot, they're only 10mm wider than yours and your wheel will be 6mm further out than mine. So you're tire is actually sticking out further than mine. 5mm of my 10mm is each side but your outter side has been moved 6mm out.

You might get lucky after all @Theicemedic is actually running a 285 75 16 without a CMC, and he's on the billies lift as well. But hes also on a + offset wheel. But he had to cut A LOT of plastic. He barely has any fender liner remaining lol

You might get lucky you might not. There's so much inconsistency with these trucks and so many variables when it comes to which tire brand, size, wheel spec, alignment...
The only reason you might not rub is the tire you're going with runs small
    Mine already fit lol

Yes for now .I have icon air bumps going in soon

Been thinking about this for awhile.

Someone convince me yes or no for cap life
Got a good deal lined up for a A.R.E aluminum contractor cap.
Its white which kinda sucks. Ill turn it black. No windows, side has a tool box and other side access to bed.

Pic for attention, this cap is ridiculous on this guys truck. Minds just normal sized

What is the weight difference between what you made and the aluminum cap?

Mine is 70-80ish i think. Aluminum is 110ish. Not that much. So much more things to do with the cap, but spending more money, but more capable at what i want.
Its on all the time which is my biggest thing.

I planned on doing this, just not this year. Price is too good and its exactly what i want. Plus they dont pop up forsale everyday. Especially the 5ft bed

I hate cap looks in general, all old people have them :turtleride:what I noticed, open bed is like “young and free” :oldglory: to me.

Mind that off-roading with cap at the rear will be problematic, just remember Peter and his setup.
