any chance you can shoot a pic against a wall at about 25 feet to see how they are? Thinking of getting the sports. the pros are putting out 5k lumens, some serious lumens for city driving.

This past week was Bday weekend!
We headed to SF to scoop up some friends, and headed to Point Reyes, which is an hour out and it was magnificent!
We then moved to Samuel P Taylor to our campsite, it was on and off regarding rain, but mother nature cooperated and made it a memorable trip.
Stayed for 2 days, enjoyed the Redwood and BBQ and company.

    Here are some pictures.

Point Reyes Light House, we got lucky and saw a large whale migration. Saw at least 20 grey whales.

    Point Reyes was gorgeous.

might need to add another leaf in the back with all the supplies we brought up- the suspension dropped significantly. Even with the Dakars, might have to bump up the leafs. the Bilstein in the front did great, the rears were noticeably sagging- but it didnt effect the ride.

Going to these marks, there were lots of hills climbs, and the Turd just cant make up it's mind which gear it wants!
It was very annoying, it would slam into 3rd then 4th to chill, then slam into 3rd again. Should've gotten a standard.

But we survived the aggressive gear changes.

I know there are airbags that guys put in coils to help with sag with heavy loads. I wonder if there is a airbag setup for leaves?

I was thinking of that being a good solution that would help when you needed it without changing your unloaded ride quality.

4 days, 42 hours, roughly 1800 miles later. we survived our Utah trip.
1st day was from LA to Zion, hit up the Narrows which was ridiculously packed, couldn't enjoy the landscape as much.
Camped in Dixie National Park which was a convenient hour away.
    IMG_9081.jpg IMG_9165.jpg
2nd day drove 7 hrs to Moab, and entered into Canyonlands, specifically The White Rim Trail.
100 miles of red rock, 2 day journey, 5 hours in and 5 hours out.

    (Campground at Murphy Hogback A)

3rd day went to Monument Valley to take some photos then bounced to Vegas to get solid dinner and nights rest.

    IMG_9559.jpg
    IMG_9565.jpg
The Highlight was definitely White Rim Trail: beautiful scenery, isolated, the entire time felt as if we were on Mars.

Rolled with 2016 Jeep 75th edition, stock- tore up the White Rim if anyone was interested.

The Tacoma also did well, got stuck on a few spots going up Hardscrabble section, due to heavy load and probably a long bed issue. Slapped it in 4L and Crawl Control and crawled our way out, no problem at all.

Would definitely do the trail again!

    Loved it!

Hit up Tahoe National Forest this week, all the damn campgrounds were closed so we had to make due and stay at lake. not bad

here are some pictures of us going to a few campgrounds in the snowy mountains.

while going up the trails we ended up getting stuck in the thick snow, and no one was around to give us a hand so we had to shovel, maxxtraxx, and winch out way out feet by feet.

overall a good experience and taught us a lot: team work, getting stuck in the snow sucks, getting stuck by yourself is worse, but being together and figuring out a way out adds to good memories. 46289240122_10e8a15da7_k.jpg
fiances driving us out of the snow while I shoveled a path for her.

Scotts Flat Lake CG, only campground open, although wasnt what we planned it was a beautiful lake with no one around.

the beautiful background on highway 395.

    solid weekend

    Updated pictures:
Installed the Bedslide a few months ago, for easy access for the restaurant business.

Here are some pics of it in action.

One of the best investments, no need to climb to the back and dig stuff out, just slides in and out.

Just got back from a 4 day camping trip.
Goals to hit: SB Point, failed to reach our destination, all major routes were washed out leading to the point.
So we found the nearby, somewhat, flat ground for those with ground tents.

2nd day: Twin Peaks Overlook, but veto'd the idea and headed to Witmore Overlook- the trail down to the overlook wasnt hard, just slow rolling and watching tire placement as the sharp edges of the lava flow was everywhere. The view of the Colorado River between the red rock was just amazing- a must do!

waygu flanks and lamb chops for dinner.no need for no sauce.

3rd day: packed up and went to Toquerville Utah. arrived with no one at the falls when we arrived ( we arrived around 4pm), then shortly after bunch of people came. a beautiful spot, sleeping with the falls as background noise was very pleasant. 48822289936_92fc05d8b9_h.jpg

Get here wasnt easy, lots of boulders to get over, youll definitely need a spotter. banged my sliders a few times getting here, but totally worth it.
