I'm 28, I thought thr froniter looked ok, but when I was in nyc auto show. I was in the back seat of it... MAN It was so crampped!!! I'm not a tall guy at all. 5'7!! My knees were up to chest!! I thought I was in a cacoon!! then i walked to the tacoma. It was pretty roomy. I opened the hood to look at the engine. well laid out with a lot of empty space for my reasons. then again I never own a truck before so it was different for me. If you look at the german cars... the engine is put together so tighly that it would cost more on labor just to look and to fix it.

I like froniter spray on bed-liner!! love that!! but the bed is kinda of short/

I like the composite bed, but I wish i had a spray on. The off-rd and sport-rd has the outlet to plug in the bed, cool features.

Froniter has a little balls in the engine. Its weird, when the frontier and tacoma came out it has more HP then they both went on SAE rating. They both lowered it.

did the 08 get more Juice? or the same old?
I wish i have some info on the 2008 to see what it comes with.
then i can figure out when to do. If i get a 2007, i should get a better deal!
    word up!!

I have to chime on on the comparison of the Frontier and the Taco. To me the Frontier looks nice and I was told it had more power BUT I am 6'8" tall and I had the same feeling in the back seat of the Frontier (very cramped feeling). I actually rode in the back of the Tacoma with no problems (headroom is wonderful even in the back seat). Driving the Frontier was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for me. I thought the seat was horrible. I went on an unusually long test drive in the Frontier because a few of my friends told me to check them out first, but I did not like it at all. I kept moving around trying to get comfortable, but I couldn't. It just didn't fit me. It is like I told the salesman "it's like trying on a new pair of shoes, everybodys feet are different so you have to find the right fitting shoe". To me (a very tall guy) the fit and the ride of the Tacoma was much better.

The Frontier bed is very short in depth, and I plan on putting a roll up bed cover on my truck and I need all the depth that I need.

I must mention that I told the Nissan salesman that the 4x4 V6 DC Taco owner I talked to got an overall mpg of 19 and he said he "had a hard time believing that". So far I am hovering right at 18.5 mpg. I am tempted to take him my mileage reports to educate him on the beloved Taco;)

As far as power, in driving the Frontier vs the Taco, I could not tell much of a difference. I don't know about the weight of the two trucks, but all I know is that I don't have to push the gas petal very far at all for my truck to scoot down the road very quickly. I am very impressed with the acceleration of this truck, even at high speeds it still only requires a little bit of gas pedal to accelerate very quickly (keep in mind that my other car is a Corvette Z06).

All in all, I am very impressed and in love with the Tacoma. Everyone that I show it to loves it also (even the ones who told me to drive the Frontier). I have put well over 1,000 miles on my truck in a little over a week, and I have yet to complain one bit about my truck. I am VERY PLEASED with both the ride and comfort as well as all the neat features of the Taco:thumbsup:

I bought a 2008 this week for $29,000 even. Considering they're not even in the showrooms I think it's a decent deal.

    - 4wd, Double-Cab, Short Bed
    - TRD Sport Package
    - TRD Exhaust
    - Tube Steps
    - Towing
    - Hood Protector
    - Floor Mats

Has anyone bought a similar 2007 or 2008?

That would be another MC Hammer song, but I wouldn't expect you to know that seeing as how I am twice your age according to your profile...

lol... I have no problem, just didn't think anyone your age knew about MC Hammer or Vannila Ice. That stuff came out when I was in Junior High.

Age is nothing but a number, and like I said, I don't feel old;)

I wouldn't say life begins at 30, but it sure does keep getting better by the day...!!!

the very best way to get a great deal on a new car is NOT to want it nor need it...

Once you become emotionally attached, your negotiation power almost nil.
