Didn't get it yet, should be here tomorrow.

This is the one I purchased.

Here's another one that's cheaper for $143 shipped. Seller is in CA so I would have got charged tax & is why I purchased from the other seller.

It was really easy. Hardest part which was not hard at all was disconnecting the plug for the pump & level sensor if yours is dirty like mine.

To avoid getting wet drain the fluid if there's any in there or have a vacuum cap ready to cap the nipple on the pump when you disconnect the hose. My fluid was brand new so I drained it first to recycle as much of it that I could to reuse it.

I paid $96 shipped Prime 2 day for it on Amazon for the OEM one. There's aftermarket ones available for about half the price.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Something broke on the way to work this morning. I'm guessing it was a CV. It started with a light clicking noise, thought it was a rock stuck in a tire or something like that. Then as I pulled into the parking lot I heard a pop and grinding noise. At first glance everything underneath looks normal... I didn't have time to inspect further yet. Hopefully it was just a CV or something easy.

I got one off ebay for $146 as well and it was legit OEM

I put grease on the metal part where the bearing slides onto the shaft but you don't need to put it inside the rubber

Floods or spots for a rear bumper? I want to add them to the bumper i will be getting soon. Ill wire them to the reverse lights as well as a switch that i think ill mount in the bed of the truck.

I wish anything else on the driveshafts was half as easy as this. No gear puller needed. Less time required than breaking loose/removing the two flanges on either end of this section.

I guess I’d rate this as not worth those 3x OEM prices you guys paid based on ease of replacement. I’d be (now) more likely to pay gold prices for each of the UJoints... not sure how replacing UJoint is so stuck in my mind & not that complicated/difficult. It seems something I’ve done on at least 3 vehicles in the past 25 years. :|

Yea, I'm with you on that one. If it's easy to replace, and it's not a safety or performance issue, I go cheep.

    Double Cardon UJoints - 2
    Hans - 0
Countlesss hours reading why I shouldn’t touch it, 1 “hold my beer moment” to take a hammer & press to it just because I can.
    24 hours wasted

But hey, I managed to install 6 (of 8) new outside ring clips (the last are 2 RCHs shy of fitting in) and not completely jack the thing up.

    97250EF9-74F8-469C-B553-D475DFB932D2.jpg

New strategy - pumped it full of grease, check every couple days and keep an eye out for a replacement.

New center support bearing and the UJoints at the rear diff & transfer case. Front driveshaft UJoints can go eff themselves! :D

I think most folks just don't want you to put the extra load on your reverse circuit. But you could use a relay and have the reverse lights as a trigger for it safely.
