I’m not a major bike enthusiast but my daughter and I like to drive down to the beach for bike rides during the summer. So I took an old bike rack that I had sitting around and rigged something up for my Taco to hold our bikes in place for transport. A few adjustments need to be made but overall happy I was able to execute the idea in my head.06615E16-519B-4DC3-923B-FB4BB2303C62.jpg 5F2D34D0-FC0E-4DDA-BB36-020A4B986D7F.jpg CC8A9778-0179-402A-9AE2-C37583FFD5AA.jpg 324F3495-EAED-41B6-B610-F9A867730017.jpg

Happy the way they turned out?
    Any tips?
Did u hang them or just lay them flat?
    Sand them prior?
    How many coats etc.
Did u also do the lower bumper piece?
I thought that was a bitch to get off.

I got the bakflip roll up cover so I could move my dirtbike from a hitch mounted hauler to the bed. I still wanted to be able to lock it up when we rode off. Put piece of unistrut across the bed so the front tire could rest against it and not put pressure on the rolled up cover. Moved the roll up cover straps to the strut. Put d-rings in the corners of the pockets on the wheel wells as it is a nice strong spot. Will add a picture with bike in it a little later.

The government doesn't let us defend our homes in Canada. We might hurt the bad guys. Then we would be the bad guys. It quickly spirals out of control on who apologies to whom and that then confuses the law makers because everyone is apologizing and then they wouldn't know who the bad guys were in the first place.

Funny......but a very sad example of the wrong type of legislation.....on a national level.

At least in the States....for now at least....that sort if lunacy is perpetuated only by certain States.....thankfully none that I lived in.

Some of the very best looking of the factory wheels right there.

    Truck looks great.

It's getting pretty damn bad in CA. I love it here but the legislation is getting unbearable... :annoyed: :goingcrazy:

IMO, I would go with the lift first to avoid rubbing issues when you get your KO2s. :D

I do like the way they turned out. I removed the mirror covers and laid them flat. No sanding as I want to be able to go back to factory if I get tired of the black. I think I did around 7 coats. The lower bumper piece comes black from the factory on an OR model.

now, Dakar leaf pack or just add-a-leaf?

Damn have to remember to order @mesojdm 10 small blanks so I can install my center console switch panel and overhead console. Hopefully relocating the traction control switch from the overhead won't be a colossal pain in the butt (moving it down next to the ECT power switch).

    the plan(ish) for the panels

Rokblokz are great. I went to Moab with them on and dragged them over ledges. The did really well. In hindsight I probably should have taken them off to avoid damage or stress on the mounts. They flexed enough. Sounded horrible every time they hit though. Regardless they do a great job keeping crap off the side of the truck.

I haven't done anything to the rear yet. I was thinking of going with the leaf pack. I've heard a lot of folks here say the stock springs eventually sag and I don't think the AAL would really help that much.
