What I've been told, too. By the time you're showing symptoms it's already too late for anybody you've been in contact with for the last week.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
My company pools our time off as PTO. Use it however you want but only so much can be carried over. We get paidout the difference that we haven't used and thats only after they yell at us for not taking the time off. Life is stressful enough give me my fucking time off. Fuck it

    Mechanically savy people,

What, if anything, should I anti-seize when doing my brakes. I'm changing rotors and pads. Anything else I should take care to do in a similar vane as that? First time doing brakes and would appreciate some (just the) tips

That's how my shop is, except we roll over whatever we have. I hear once you hit 120 hours (unless you have a higher cap) then it stops accruing until you use some

Just the pins that the pads slide on. You can put some on the bolts that hold the calipers in place if you want, but I've never liked that idea since they can back out under the right (or actually, the wrong) conditions.

Nice dude! I have one in the basement and one in the truck - I love them however just remember to use the right power setting when using it to install... They will break things effortlessly

Man you guys have it nice with your PTO: I've got 10 vacation, 5 sick; don't carry & don't payout. I rarely get actually sick so I'll use sick days as a personal day just so I don't lose out on it. I try to not to be out unnecessarily but at the same time I don't want to be giving my employer free money by not using the time they gave to me as a benefit/pay.

X2. Though I use a tiny bit of bearing grease on the caliper bolts

I'd recommend slathering between the inside of the rotor hat and the hub to make sure it doesn't seize to the hub

Basically when you think about it, I work minimum of 50 hours a week. The sheets we have to PTO use have options for 8 hour or 10 hour totals per day used (even if you work a partial day, still have to use hours to come up with a minimum of 8 hours for the day). Now when you break it down, it equates to 2 weeks vacation and 2 days sick/personal (basically) when using 10 hours per day. Using 8 hours per day is like 3 weeks vacation at 120 hours

The variable power setting will be nice. My old one was a single speed. I don't typically use an impact to install anything besides lag bolts, in which case it's crank up the speed, yell "poweeeer"(in Clarkson voice), and let it rip

We used to carry 2 weeks vacation time, but that recently ended. Many places are going that way.

That would be awesome! I'm sure they would put a cap on how much you could save via carrying over though, but they'd have to, or else people would probably go nuts with it.

That, plus the time costs more to pay you for if you earned it the year prior and got a raise or promotion.

I get 5 weeks vacation a year plus 8 sick days. What sucks is the sick time stops accruing after 3 weeks worth, so someone like me who rarely uses it in a sense gets porked.

3 weeks is a lot of sick time, I hope you wouldn't have to use it for its intended purpose! I would have to convert my earned time to "sick pool". Only problem is you can't change it back, and if you don't use it you lose it after a certain point.

That's what they cap accrual at. 8 days a year is what I can earn. But I usually use 1-3 a year, so in a way I get gypped because I'm capped most of the year.

My sick time "renews" itself on my service anniversary. That works out well since my start date was Jan. 3rd.
I usually use a week's worth when I get my yearly bout with the "death gurgle".
