Too right! My dream, when the Girls move the hell out, is to get a one bedroom with a freaking 3car garage. My Wife has other ideas. Hahaha!

    You’re and ignorant dude.

Cherry pick whatever you like, plenty of cars get up to 40 and over 40mpg for decades. Shit, haven’t even got to the real diesel debate mpg.

$4500 battery replacements on “electric” cars worth what you say even less. We won’t even discuss the engine and trans costs on the hybrids, because they’re GAS cars.

I’m an “electric” hybrid owner and my friends own all electric vehicles namely Teslas, don’t know anyone that owns a Leaf. I’ll say their worth near fuck all and will be for quite a long time.

Sales people are the most clueless people around. I would never trust anything they say.

So you say a string of false statements, get called out and can't refute a single one??? I'll take that as an admission that you don't know what you're talking about :)

And why do you keep putting "electric" in quotes?? An EV is an EV and a hybrid is a hybrid its really not that hard....

Ok “hybrid electric”, you have to take the mental metaphorical leap.

My gas powered 1999 Honda Civic hatchback manual got 40mpg. Just clinical real data.

Uh... I got the genitalia reference, but why would a diesel smell abnormal after the 2nd fill up?

Sub'd because diesels are exempt from emissions testing in Pennsylvania and I really want to legally circumvent the law!

Exactly! You would think that the "PRO" and MAYBE even the Off-Road would have rear and front lockers. Even the ZR2 Colorado has front and rears (according to their website) and that is the Chevy equivalent of the Taco TRD Pro.

I have a '93 Civic VX w/ 267k on it. Owned it since new and could, if I tried hard, get 60-62mpg out of it. I've done it repeatedly. Off the factory floor it got 55 mpg. It is the ONLY gasoline engine made which beats a diesel in economy. But now won't pass modern emissions standards and thus is no longer produced. Luckily mine is now over 25 yrs old so it's exempt from emissions testing here. There is No comparison in safety features against a modern vehicle. In fact I have only one airbag (steering wheel).

For what? Members discussing gas, diesel and electric vehicles?

You’ve been here longer than me. There’s more to this forum than “nice truck Bro, what’s the size of your tires and lift?”

Back on topic, IMHO, the 4Runner and Tacoma will never be offered in diesel (or electric) here in the US.

Since when does a salesman know anything about what they’re selling?!? None of the ones I dealt with had a clue, I knew waaaay more than they did. And that’s kinda sad.

Emissions aspects hurt fuel economy though. Get rid of the cat and you'll see increased performance and efficiency . But you'll be polluting more

Your little 99 civic if produced today would not meet emissions standards. It probably had one cat vs today they have multiple ones

Look at our 3rd gens, 4 catylitic converters. I bet the 1st gens had at most two

Adjectives and Pronouns are different, if you’re the mod then lock the thread. Like I said, we can have better discussion than tires and lifts.

Back on topic, I hope we never see a hybrid Tacoma, they’re useless in our lifetime IMHO.
