Still very new to forum, so not entirely sure of the boundaries of discussion here, but I’ll ask anyway. Have a ‘15 AC SR5, magnetic grey. Nothing fancy, of course, (though I’m looking at buying a 4D OR), but I dig the truck. The main thing is that I’m an old guy (68), and would like to do something interesting to this truck before I die or trade it. Any suggestions for one cool thing to add, modify, etc.? Thanks!

I'd say that wheels and tires are one of the simplest (easiest) mods that really changes the appearance of your truck. Not only would it be appreciated by enthusiasts, but also plebs.

The coolest thing I "add" to my truck is the mud from the adventures she takes me.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
It would be helpful to know more about the truck and what you are into or have aspirations to do. From a financial standpoint I doubt you would get the return on your investment on any modifications as you are looking to trade. Perhaps just take it a little further off road than you typically go and see the actual capabilities of the vehicle. Or you could get all the hOOkers that MF will hold and some cocaine. Really the possibilities are endless.

As for forum boundaries: Don't mess with politics and that's pretty much it though there are rules and regulations you could check out. Try to piss off at least one mod at least once a year or so to keep them honest.

As I too are getting up there in age, I was thinking a walker lift would be helpful. :)

Spend some time here you've come to the right place. Research some of the products you see here . Try and decide what you really want/need . And go from there . Buy once . Most people start with lifts and rims/tires . Buy your lift according to weight added . Welcome.

By the way, why would you do this before trading it in? Wait until you have your new truck (unless you are going to keep your current truck).

Well, that’s a good question. I’m on the fence about the new truck. (I would pass along the ‘15 to my son, as he could use some help.) Anyway, the same “senior cool thing” question would apply to either truck. Thanks to everyone for the good input so far. You’ve given me some good ideas to consider, including just using it more off the road.

Thanks, I mean get a 4 link rear suspension, it gets rid of the leaf springs and you replace them with coilovers. And get 3.0 fox/king long travel coilovers on all four corners
