I really like my LG V30, thing is lightening fast and has an awesome DAC for audio. Apple wants you in dongle world and pay to keep playing land, I'm not down

Yup same here. I feel like apple has its loyal followers and then there is everyone else. My fiance bought the new x (meaning I bought it for her) and I'm not impressed at all. We've already had to bring it back because of the stupid background cancellation thing. You couldn't hear her talk at all when she called. They did give us a brand new phone though

I mainly like iOS because of the workflow integration. iMessage, FaceTime, product integration between MacBook and Apple Watch - etc.

Out of all my contacts, I’d say 90% of them use iOS. The only people on Android are the older generation as I’ve seen (on my contacts, I should add)

It doesn't integrate with anything I use, and you can't demand it use Chrome as the default browser

    Sure. Everyone does.

I’m the kind of person who can benefit more from using an Android based phone just functionality wise. An Android is so much more capable, and a fraction of the cost as an iPhone.

It’s just the ease of use with the iPhone, and networking with iOS is far superior. Apple did a great job of product integration.

Not at all. I should have added on my contact list that’s the case.

Just another way for apple to tie everything together. Soon your TV, microwave, fridge, and deadbolts will all be integrated and controllable. Call me crazy but I don't like one company having that much control on my daily life. They already listen to you and control what ads you see and what web sites you see.

That's why I don't have any of the Facebook or Amazon apps on my phone, I just use the websites.

I don’t really like iOS Chrome, I think Safari is perfectly fine for whatever I’m doing on mobile. I’m religious about using Chrome on my desktop machines and laptops though. I use Safari and Internet Explorer once, and that’s to install Chrome.

    I just hate that it’s 32 bit.

    You’re very right.

I’m just a sucker for home automation. I stay away from the consumer grade “smart” crap and go straight for the prosumer grade equipment.

I think like Arlo, and Ring Cameras, and all that other crap is stupid. I have have never heard of a CCTV system that makes you pay a monthly subscription for the honor to use it until now.

I ran my own Samsung PoE CCTV system myself. 16 cameras, and I converted the original Siamese RG56 Coaxial/Power cabling to Cat6 Cable just because it’s 100x easier to run than Coaxial.

I’m seeing less of hardwired systems like that, to thoss yuppie USB powered or battery powered smart cameras. I think it’s stupid. But the consumer likes it because of the mobile integration and ease of installation.

Of course it’s 32 bit on Mac... doesn’t help my case. Lol.

That being said I mainly use my MacBook for taking notes and using the Adobe creative suite. For everything else (including my daily driver) I use the desktop Windows machine I built at home.

My MacBook is dual boot. I removed the cd drive and put in a hard drive sled. I have one solid state drive dedicated to OS X and one hard drive dedicated to Windows 10.

The SATA bus that the cd drive used originally is terribly slow though, I should’ve used an SSD instead of my old 5400RPM HDD.

    My bad haha

I used to go deep sea fishing a lot and the wife of the captain always brought food. Venison spaghetti is surprisingly delicious.

Haven’t been hunting yet. Maybe one day.

You just reminded me that my old gaming computer I use at work is Overclocked and undervolted, I wanted to see if it is still stable or of the mobo Vregs have started going. Surprisingly still good, mild OC much less voltage than stock and not too hot
