That's what my alignment shop recommended. After spending the money on all this LT stuff, I did not want to think about going back to do Heimed Uppers.

Thanks man! I figured I would just rotate more often and keep an eye on it. Steering wheel is having a tough time returning to center on the freeway, going to also throw some poly rack bushings in ASAP.

If you want your alignment done right take it to Bear Alignment in Corona. You have to make an appointment but they will get you what you want. If they can’t they will tell you exactly why and tell you what you need to do to make it work or they can do it for you. I’ve got a bastardized front setup and they made it perfect. You won’t be disappointed in their work.

I'll shift through the go pro of my last run. Don't think there was any other video. This was yesterday event of the "street" class trucks.

Yeah the more caster you have the heavier the steering is going to be. Power steering should still help it return to center pretty well but 4 degrees vs 2 degrees caster will make a difference on how much effort you have to put into bringing the steering back to center.

I thought positive caster made the wheels self center better?

It does but it also makes the steering feel heavier.

It makes the steering heavier so it will typically track better and stay straighter with minimal input as it takes more force to move the wheel back and forth.

More caster does make them self center, thats why it has a "heavier" feel, its trying to center itself. Its not heavier at all times just away from center, then back to center is easier. Thats why when you go in reverse the wheel wants to turn on its own away from center, while going backwards your caster is reversed. Also same concept on a motorcycle. The more rake you have the straight line stability increases but makes it harder to steer away from center

Just a side note on castor...if you have more than 5 degrees u can loose a tierod and drive to a stop without the tire folding...just sayin.

And camber a little bit like 1-2* helps in the turns on dirt... doesn't want to push as bad

Yup, learned the hard way. I was broken down in the desert for about 3 hours. Tried patching it with hose clamps but nothing. Finally I tried moving the truck forward when the wheel self centered and was able to limp out a few miles to where they could tow me out.

Got it - I was thinking one hand u-turns being easier with the wheel snapping back into center - must mean I live in LA lol!
