    Aftermarket upsized rims and tires.
    Had them balanced 2x
Still get steering wheel vibes at hiway speed. Booked it into another shop. They told me with my rims weights can obviously only be added to the inside. You will always get that vibe unless you get?.... I duno what he said but I think he spoke of weights that go in the tire? He will call me back with a quote.
Anyone know wtf im talkin about?
Or any suggestions on if the vibrations could be from something else?
    Thanks

Are you putting 44" swampers on your truck? Otherwise you might consider going to a different shop if they can't balance and align your truck properly...

I've had steering wheel vibrations from day 1, I now have 17,500 miles and have minimal vibrations, and only on certain roads. Most roads there are no more vibrations. I believe the cause was simply brand new tires or bushings that needed to wear in?

Regarding the weights, he's saying they can't or don't want to use standard clip on weights, they use sticky weights on the inside of the wheels. Clip on weights go on the outside of the wheel so you can see them, they will make your wheels look ugly.

He was probably talking about balance beads. Work great on my motorcycle, no experience with them in a truck tire.

Balance beads are a joke. Find a shop that has a roadforce balancing machine.

I wouldn't say they're a joke. They have their place. I ran 8 oz. of AirSoft pellets in each of the 34" bias ply Swampers on my old TJ. Once the tires warmed up enough that the flat spots (from sitting overnight) smoothed out, they rode as smooth as you could ask of such tires.

One guy I wheeled with swore by the 8 golf balls he ran in each of the 37" Swampers on his YJ.

It was quite funny when either of us pulled into a parking lot or gas station, between the tire chirp from the spooled rears, the ratcheting of the front lockers, and the golf balls or pellets spinning down and bouncing off the inside of the wheels, our rigs made quite a few unusual noises.

try a static balance. RF would never get mine balanced after multiple attempts. Static balance is smooth.

Sometimes wheels, especially aftermarket wheels will not balance. The wheels could be the problem. And I don't care how it looks, if they need to put weights on the outside so be it. I want my wheels balanced.

Hi Cody, have you solved your vibration/balance problem yet or just gotten used to it? Is it worse with one set of wheels or the other? What steps have you taken if I may ask? Hope you've got it under control and look forward to your response.

BFGs are notoriously hated by tire shops because they're so hard to balance. I've seen people have to swap out 3 of the 4 tires right out of the box to get them to balance properly.

After market wheels are also hit or miss but I'd bet at least one of your KO2s are defective from factory, google it you'll see hundreds of complaints with the same problem with specifically KO2s, although to be honest ANY all terrain tire proves much more challenging to properly balance than your normal all season car tires. More aggressive the tread the harder it will be to balance.

Find a shop that road force balances tires. That is the ticket.

I never really figured it out but it has seemed to have gotten better over time. It's apparent on both the stock wheels and Rotiform wheels. I've come to just base the vibration on it being a truck with a solid rear axle. The vibration isn't constant, so it could be a mixture of the truck suspension, the roads and the tires being brand new at the time?

I've had the Rotiforms balanced 3 times, with the last time being at the Dealer, and the stock wheels re-balanced by the Dealer too, for the record.
