    I might be wrong, but I THINK you can still use the OEM clamp even if you do that mod.

    If you loosen it, cant reuse it. In this case, I probably could have used a new clamp, but this has been there for 25k+ miles and hasnt moved..

    Starting battery stays second battery in passenger side most of everything i have but need crimps posts and case still.

    I always will, change all fluids and air filter / spark plugs / cabin filter etc lol
