Anyone have thoughts on where my alignment should be with the added lift? And to push the tire as far forward in the wheel well

Self appraisals? That is just lazy supervision.

I had an employee where I wrote "Most people learn vicariously through the mistakes of others, Employee X is determined to make his own."

I don't think he realized I was slamming him, but saying "You're a fucking hardheaded idiot who won't listen to the advice of experienced people." sounded a little too harsh.

Back in the 90's when I was off roading, I used a nitrogen tank and regulator to air up. Way faster than any compressor and could run air tools off it if needed. Downside is it is useless for air lockers.

For a Gen 3, how much lift would be needed for 33x12.5/R17 on 8" wide rims with 0 offset. I am installing OME 886 with a light/Med duty Dakar pack and had planned on just getting 255/85/R16 skinny tires on my OEM rims, but saw some wheels and tires listed for less than I would pay for tires alone. Can I make that work without chopping body parts off?

I say buy them and make them fit. I have a grinder and welder and can do a cab mount chop, and pretty much everything else is plastic

N2 is better than CO2. Does not lose pressure as the tank cools. I broke my regulator when my tank fell over in the garage. I need to get a replacement.

I don’t know enough (read:any) science to debate the point, but if N2 was better, then why is CO2 way more prevalent in the off-roading scene?

Getting my Kore bed bars tomorrow according to UPS tracking.

Any reason why I shouldn't just prime and paint them? I was considering that "bedliner" in a can just to give it some extra durability.

I prime and paint all my stuff. Makes touch up easy, plus paint is cheap.

I would guess that CO2 is a cheaper fill, and since it starts as liquid, you would get more tire fills out of the same size tank.

Nitrogen is an inert gas so does not react to temperature changes, whereas CO2 reacts at a higher rate than atmosphere so you come off the trail and refill with it, your tire pressure will be much higher as you go down the road. CO2 gets it's pressure from the liquid expanding into a gas. The rate at which it does that and the pressure it achieves is based off of the ambient temperature. So you fill your four large tires and the tank will cool down quite a bit, lowering the pressure inside. So the rate at which you could fill your last tire is much slower than the first. If you move on to help fill a buddy's tire, it will slow even more. If you are doing it in the winter, it is even slower. Conversely, you have that bottle inside a closed vehicle in the summer, there is a chance your safety valve will pop from over pressure. With N2 filled at 3000psi, it will keep on trucking until the bottle pressure drops significantly.

That is why I said it was better.

But then when the local Shell station wants to charge you $20 to fill your tires with nitrogen and tout the benefits, that shit is BS.
