    I like that. That design is perfect. Will block the map light from blinding me while the wife has it on at night. I'm 6'8" and the light is almost in my line of sight.

    So how do you install that and screw in the preexisting screw that goes to the little plastic insert up in the ceiling? I guess you just don’t?

    I run a console switch panel and that little screw does quite a bit for extra security and snugging it up the the roof rather than just relying on the 3 plastic retention pieces that go toward the dome light and the 2 metal prong clips.

    Good question. What I would do:
    1)Mount my new panel to the OEM overhead
    2)Route all wires and plug in all switches except for the middle one(leave the connector hanging out the hole)
    3)With a long screwdriver and screw attached, go up through the empty switch hole and mount
    4)Snap last button/switch in

    For the most parts, the ceiling mounting hole is a straight shot:

    Would just need to pop the single switch directly over the mounting screw out.

    The switch pro housing on the other hand would be difficult as it mounts from the backside..

    Sounds easy to me. I’m sure the switch could pop out with some plastic trim pry bars with ease
