I could be wrong on the amount there are but I know for a fact that most of the pilots are not prior Enlisted. So I don’t know where that guy came up with that.

That's disappointing. I guess I should remain interested in that unit then. Glad I said something!

Even when i was in 6 years plus ago looking at becoming a 153A. I was always told it was harded for prior enlisted to get a pilot job if they tried to get back in. This could have changed now. Ive been debating on talking with a recruiter about trying to get in the NG to fly here is Arizona.

Do it! They’ll pick you up from the airport and let you skip the wait (if there is one)

Here's a nice photo from the tower back when I was active duty at SZL. I am working on getting my VFR pilot's license to see a little bit of the other side. In this pic I have some transient KC135s, KC10s, T38s, and A10s (if you can pick those out).

Flew this Blue Heeler pup down to San Antonio today for Pilots n Paws. It’s a good thing someone is adopting her because otherwise she may have come home with me!!

...^^^... Ditto on this ... as far back as I can remember (only from my experiences).

One small exception in the past ... If there is a war going on and you have a license and they need pilots in that particular slot. This is info from a long time ago though ... and not sure this would work today.

Thanks! I’ll be flying a King Air 200 to CO on Saturday :woot:

I got 9 hours flying up to Omaha yesterday and back to Dallas today. Went to watch the Razorbacks choke and loose the national championship :rain:

It's been an interesting first month at work. Love flying these little 300s. They auto so smooth and are really stable.
