I'd rather have just a 3 speed but no such luck. Almost 4k is pretty rough considering I have to mess with the trucks electrical system too. it is a buy once cry once piece though

for real though a simple crawl box suits me much better. no changes to 4wd electronics, just cut a hole in the floor and clean up the oil drips

@Nitori doesn't count. I'd like things done before @RPS1030's buggy

I don't like to mess with the trucks harness. stock is reliable and maybe somebody could actually troubleshoot a stock harness.

I'm keeping the pushbutton and all the ADD stuff. no idea if there is a speed sensor or if it uses the ABS.

Duuuuuude that looks clean asF, giving me nostalgia here too. Screw what anyone else says, that's a cool car.

There's something about a lightly modded GTI with multi-spokes that's just timeless, throughout the generations it just keeps looking good. And this is coming from someone who owned what is generally regarded as the "second ugliest" generation (behind the Mk3 )

In other news @JuansTaco made me a kick ass bracket for my lights, I picked it up tonight.:welder:

My own dopey lack of spatial awareness means the outer 2 mount points are not going to fit BD squadrons by maybe 1/3"-1/2"
I think I might mount my horns on it though. Or... an EXTRA SET OF HORNS...
Gonna be an autistic little shit and break all the edges with a file and get it powdercoated after I mock everything up.
