Seemed like an accurate description of diarrhea.

It'd probably wreck your liver or kidneys or something, though.

 

After spending most of my day yesterday with it, I liked it and thought it was very accurate.

The route for the upcoming trip this weekend:

 

OBX - nice! Making the trip in the Taco?

 

Yessir! Got to. Going to the beach, to meet up with my bro in law and his family, so have to load up all the beach stuff.

 

A noble purpose for a trip! Wife is taking the Taco down to her mom's outside Lake Gaston, NC next month. I'll fly down and drive the family, with a trailer load, back. We will probably go 95 - 15 - 66 - 81 - 84. It's a nice drive up that way.

 

On Google Maps it's telling me to go 84, 684, 87, 95, 295, 13, 64, 168

We'll see what the NAV in the truck says to do.

 

I made the trip down to the OBX a few weeks ago. I would suggest ignoring the truck NAV completely and use Google Maps... When I left, Entune was roughly 2 hours longer

 

LOL! Thanks for the tip, Tyler. I think usually it gives me 3 routes to chose from, on the NAV, so I'll see what it says and compare it to Google Maps, and go from there.

 

I got off the highway at pleasant street and lost you almost immediately...

 

I've had a 20 minute trip, look to be 2 1/2 hours on entune before. I never trust the entune anymore. It's just a big fancy music player and map for me to view now.

 

And it has me looking at Android Auto receivers for too much money...

 

It helped make the Hondo phone mount an easy sell, cheaper than one map update from yota.

Are you using Android auto or just a phone in a mount? I've been considering getting an Android auto headunit with a backup camera since the FJ is like driving a submarine. Plus I spend 2-3 hours commuting a day and a nice radio would be cool ( though I do really like the stock FJ Jammer unit with it's giant buttons/ knobs and sweet sweet 6 CD changer)

 

Just use my phone with maps or waze

There's nothing faster than the coast, for sure. Mass Pike to 84, through Hartford, then you have a decision at Danbury. Go West, over the Tappenzee into NJ, or South, closer to the city, then the coast route?

Taking 87 to 95 probably means the Washington bridge over the Hudson. Then they take you below Philly on the 295, over the Delaware bridge, at then down the coastal route on 13, etc. I've never been down that way through Tidewater, although I imagine it's really nice. Chesapeake Bay Tunnel looks cool.

I tend to go West just to avoid traffic. When my wife's father died a couple years ago, we went down on a Sunday, took the coast the whole way on 95 into NC, with the exception of hanging West on the Tappenzee, and Garden State Parkway. We had a really good run, no traffic snarls to speak of, and made it in like 12.5 hours. I find that's rare though, and not something you're going to get on the weekdays.

 

Chesapeake Tunnel is wicked cool! I took it on a roadtrip down to VA Beach with some friends a few years ago.
