    Cool attachment.

I'd like to know more about the home inserts you have on the tailgate.....how do they compare finish-wise with the V6 finish. I like the 3D look.

Thinking about adding some to my own tailgate.

Also....just out of curiosity, what is that above the V6 emblem ?

    Thanks.

    Cool.

I see many CB attachments added to Tacos. Forgive my ignorance....but what will you use your's for ?

Locally, I know some hunters that use them for areas where the cellphone coverage is spotty and they need to stay in touch with each other.

I've been oddly impressed with the thing. I've never had one that is this low profile....yet it works better than others I've had on other vehicles.....that being said, they were on other vehicles. This Tacoma was only a couple weeks old before I put the AVS on.....so there really wasn't a heap of time prior.

I guess the little hump does all the work.

    Mornin' Greg,
These are the ones I added a year ago. Still look new. Hold up to freezing and blistering temps. Withstand my 1800 psi pressure washer. Highly recommended. And they have a chrome option just for you

    Those look super.

    Thanks, Rob.

I didn't read all through the specs yet.....but it appears they arrived already properly spaced out for an easy installation ???

Yes, they come attached to a giant sheet of release paper. However, since they are 3D and basically fit inside the stamped letter it was easy enough to align say a top or side edge and then just let them fall into place. Just be sure to wash the truck, then prep the area with rubbing alcohol to remove any chems.

Hey @DubfromGA oddly enough we are heading to Georgia next weekend, I wanted to get some feedback on the AVS bug deflector. Gonna be a 13 hour drive, and wanted to fit the wife’s 4runner with one prior to moving out. Basically we had one on our old Honda Pilot and still got bugs all over the place. Wanted to see how these are working for you and if your windshield is bug free way down in Georgia.

    Thanks Boss

Well, I started with the one of the first iPhone’s, iphone4.
With ATT I get a so called full upgrade every 2 years, a new phone for $199.
I take my ‘old’ iPhone and was getting minimum $300 and as much as $350 for it on eBay.
So every time a new iPhone came out and with my two year ATT upgrade, I was happy since not only do I get a new phone for ‘free’ I’m also making~$100 extra....
For reference I remember seeing a iPhone 4S that had been run over in the driveway, phone smashed, glass broken, non-working. It went for $150 just for parts on eBay.

The only exception to actually making money when selling a old iPhone when upgrade time came, in all these years, was when I upgraded to the ridiculously expensive iphoneX.
But, 2 important at least to me things made it attractive, the end to end screen (no borders), I’m old so a bigger screen to see, (I use Waze for gps and have a dash mount), but still a one handed hold to operate versus a bigger phone....and the frikin amazing camera and HD video. The phone’s camera dynamic range, exposure wise, is amazing.
So, yeah, upgrades in the past were awesome.

    I bribe my wife....
I did a few mods to her Jeep Cherokee.....floor mats, tinted windows, fancy trunk mat....cargo netting.
She gets the Taco mod thing....she says it’s better I’m doing that and it entertains me versus me hanging out in a sports bar with a bunch of dudes....
More bribery, SUP paddle board, she loves being outdoors, so I take her to places I know around the Gulf Coast that are great for paddle boarding....I have surfed and and sailed most of my life.
I also have, get gun stuff, but she likes shooting too after I took her shooting the first time last year.
We go at least once a month either to the range or out to some acreage, 158 acres, wooded kinda acreage. East Texas hogs.
And she’s all in to natural, organic food stuff, her being from Russia and all. Won’t eat cheeseburgers, fried chicken, fried anything for that matter.
So I take her out occasionally to 2 farms I know of to get some of that earthy, healthy junk. Gaaaaawd!
I like air conditioned Kroger’s for my shopping!
Gotta get that negotiation, bribery thang down.....happy wife, happy life...
Oh, can’t forget the woman, occasional shopping thing too.
    She gets clothes ‘mods’.

Location varies, but based in Edmonton, Alberta.
    Vehicle:
    2016 Black Tacoma Limited
Tuff Country 3" lift, BFG Baja Champion 285/70/R17, Unknown Nerf Bars, Diamond Back Tonneau, 800W internal cab mounted inverter, VHF radio, We-Boost 4GX, Ram Mount No-Drill Laptop Mount, Zac of All Trades rail mounts (FX and Hi-Lift), Weathertec floor mats, BLACKVUE 590 dash cam, @Calirasiedled Bed Accessory Mount, Sound deadening
There are a couple of services that are available. Pretty cheap. They'll work, but the locations and hours are not optimal for getting across and back with the work schedule and border crossing hours. Trying to avoid having to spend a night.

I found a news article about a guy who owns a bar, literally, on the border who does it, but other than the article... not much around.

Keeping my eyes open, might just have to pull the trigger and get them shipped to coincide when I'm close.

For the TRD Plate the air dam needs to come off as it sticks out towards front where the air dam bolts to the underside. There is probably a way to modify it to work around the skid plate by maybe cutting a little off in the center and settling on few less screws to hold it up. Maybe someone that's attempted that can chime in. Can't speak for the RCI plate but it looks like it extends forward as well.

    Glad I live in Texas.....
Bad characters break into my house during the day when family and I are not at home.....I have insurance....and video cameras.
Bad guys break into the house at night, they are coming in to hurt you.
I only need 3 seconds warning.
Police will come to investigate the mess I made.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I did a massive 40+ HP mod last evening - chromed the tailgate letters!
