Hmmmm, I could have swore there were duty free options for getting things over the line. Seems so freakin' silly/stupid to me.

Low maintenance wives are the best, especially when they share the same interests as us! But I have to be honest, I'm wondering why she has a bulge in the front of her skirt. . .:D

    It's silly.

It's not the duty. It's the difference between "Free Shipping to Lower 48" and the "that $20 part costs me $50 to ship to Canada" when I can read the postage and it cost them $6. It's even worse on big parts like bumpers, sliders, etc. I have been dealing with that for years in another hobby that I am involved in and a previous crawler build. In that case, it was cheaper to drive across the border 7+ hours each way to pick up a SAS kit and sliders. And it was a nice day for a drive to Montana.

The upcoming Tariff Wars will hurt, especially on finished steel and aluminum. If I read it correctly, (and simplifying) Canada will charge duty on raw steel and aluminum shipped to a US manufacturer, who will have to adjust his price to account for the Canadian tariff. Then, I'll buy the finished product and pay the US tariff/duty when it gets shipped back. Add to that a 30% exchange differential... and I think I am going to start a fab shop or not put on any big heavy mods. No-one here will be able to afford well made US products up here anymore.

Look at HD. Input costs go up on raw steel and aluminum, the EU slaps a tariff on a bike made in the USA and HD figures out that it's more cost effective to build overseas (not that they weren't already, but this accelerates it). Not sure who wins in this one.

It's depressing to see the mods and then the pricing and realize that a lot of those mods are priced out of reasonable. So many things I'd like to do with the Taco, but getting those awesome bumpers and other big accessories is cost prohibitive.

Happy Friday! New Tariffs will be announced today, so we'll see how the Trade Wars will shape up.

I actually have a ‘fixed’ version of this imag since the dress, shadow thang makes it look like she’s happy to see me kinda thang ; )

Maybe you know of this Prada store front art piece out in West Teaxas.
She wanted to go out there since we have friends in Study Butte near Terlingua.
This place is 40 miles upside of Marfa, out in the middle of frikin nowhere!
She made her own Prada bags....we staged the whole thing.
    Was fun.

A little bit of history about Marfa and some of its Russian roots...wife is Russian, hence trip to Marfa.

In preparation of coming home next week and finally getting to see my truck, I purchased a few things that will be waiting for me!

Starting off with small, practical, easy to do 'mods.'

    - Radio knobs by @Tacowiede
    - Tailgate lock by @scleaf
    - Center console organizer and half tray by @salex
    - Interior LED vanity, map, and dome lights.

Last thing I'm deciding on is what sun shade to get, but I'm down to 2 options! Let the mod-madness officially begin!!!

Edit: Add @mesojdm Ultimate dome and map lights to the list. :D

You've posted photos of you and your wife several times that I have seen. She always has a huge, bright smile on her face in all of your photos. If she is half as happy of a person and she appears, you sir are one very lucky man. Congratulations.

I wasn't aware of the Prada art display, but figured there was some effort put into that shot. Still,

One of my favorite scenes from a movie (The Devil Wears Prada), where Anne Hathaway "gets told".

    Thanks!
She is a happy person...and I am super lucky.
She experienced full blown socialism during Soviet times.
She appreciates even the little things in life. She knows how bad it could be...hence she really is my sunshine. One of her degrees is in Child Psychology....helps her deal with me. ; )
I am actually sitting in a hospital in the recovery room with her.
She just had her last plastic surgery, 4th one, for breast reconstruction, ...breast cancer, stage 0.
    Everything is good!
I would never be as good as her going through all of this.

Much of California has no cell coverage, so when out with friends on the trail, the cb is better than shouting out the window...which I do often cuz I’m an asshole!

    Wow.

Thank you for letting me in on it.

I don't currently have the ability to properly phrase what I think about that rubbish so I will just be silent and pray for them.

I wish you both the best.

You have a gorgeous wife and I hope that smile remains in place throughout this ordeal she is fighting through.

Early detection was the key for us. So very grateful.

    We are both fortunate hombres.
