not sure if the 2nd gen ratios are different thant 3rd gen ratios for the manual but the Auto trans ratio jump 4-5th is similar to jumping from 4-6th in the manual trans. Actual 6th is redicuously low.

Not necessarily a need as much as a want. Like I was saying its doable but starting to feel sluggish. The bumpers, armor, winch all add up and with the 4.88s it holds 5th pretty well only needs to drop to 3rd gear on the bigger hills which I slow down for anyway.

Oh I’m not questioning anything I ask to learn. I know my stock ratios are 3:73’s and a jump to 4:88’s would be for 35’s or so. Mine is armored as well. There’s just so many factors in these situations it’s all interesting.

6 inch Rough Country, with the Front strut upgrade, 4 inch block in the rear with the Tuff Country add a leaf, ride rite air bags and Daustar Cradles in the rear. Wheels are 20x12 Hostile Alpha with 305/55 r 20 Nitto Trail MT'S. I believe the offset it -45. No rubbing or trimming.

To be honest its not the best solution but the velcro is industrial grade and holds tight. I ordered a bunch of them for lots of other purposes.

The recovery tracks haven't left the rack since (haven't needed them knock on wood)

If you don't mind what CVT tent is that? It looks like a Rainier maybe and if so have you had any problems with the size of it on the short bed?

It's the Mt. Denali Pioneer Extended. I haven't had any problems with the tent at all, but I made the rack for my truck and it's nothing you can buy out of a box. All Aluminum and will hold the weight, it definitely affects the fuel mileage, but its solid IMG_20180609_162703884.jpg

Is that 6 in lift ? Like the way it stands and the wide looking tire set up. I've got 3rd gen but I like the look of that setup on lift wheels and tires! What exactly is ur set up

6 inch Rough Country kit with the upgraded front struts, 4 inch block in the rear with the Tuff Country add a leaf, then I added the Ride Right air bags with Daystar Cradles for the load. Hostile Alpha 20x12 asphalt wheels, and 305/55r20 Nitto Trail grappler MT's. I had to shim the carrier bearing an extra washer also.
