What size tire can I put on these rims, that will give a more aggressive look, won't completely kill my gas mileage or ride quality, and won't break the bank?? These are the stock Firestone Destination le2. I don't have a spare anymore, and was thinking about getting a whole new set of tires, before my baby arrives in October.

Hankook dynapro atm, cooper destination all make a SL tire. Go to tirerack or other site and filter by load type, performance category, and price.

I've been considering for some time. Still have another 10 to 20k on my stocks, but the Falken's are currently the leading choice. Reading a lot of really good things about them and the price is excellent.

Have a look at Toyo Open Country ATll 108/104S BSW C-Load Product Code: 352550 (245/75R16). My previous set of tires were Michelin M/S2 and I have to admit I prefer the Toyo Tires: quality ride and good gas mileage for a C-Load AT Tire. Just make sure you get your tires Road Force Balanced. Good Luck!

Oh, and you can easily put on a 265/75/16 from everything I've read.

Imho I'd stay same size, just better tires. I put 245/75-16 General Grabber at2 on my 17' DCSB OR, but they're about 44 lbs I think, a more mileage oriented choice might be 245/75-16 Yokohama Geolander at (t) which are 38 lbs.

In my last Tacoma, I noticed no difference in MPG between 245/75/16 and 265/75/16. Ride quality improved with the 265/75's, with the taller sidewalls. And frankly, the 265's looked proportionately correct on the Tacoma.

I went E rated Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3 in 265/75/16. Average around 21mpg 50/50 city vs highway.
