    Prerunner has options since you don't have to worry about front axle CV angles.

    You do, however, have to worry about breaking your shocks when you run spacers. They push the coilover down and screw up a lot of things. When you hit a pothole, the shock will bottom out before the lower control arm hits the bumpstop and you're going to trash your shocks. Several people have broken their front shocks from this happening on roads.

    It's a nice truck. If you're going to modify it, do it right and skip the spacers.

    Also all suspensions for your truck are coilovers. There are those that are adjustable and some are not. You would be fine with some adjustable Bilstein 5100s, which can provide up to 2.5". Dont do a spacer lift

    and if i were to get coilovers...can i raise it past 2.5" ?!?

    How will you use your truck? That's the first question to ask.

    After that, what's your budget?

    The spindle on our trucks is the piece that connects between the upper and lower control arms on the front suspension. Holds the brakes, bearings, and wheel in place.

    Most accessible pic I have of a spindle is the old bent vs. new gusseted one from my truck:

    Lift spindles work for 2wd trucks by shifting the mounting point of the brake/bearing/wheel assembly down 4 inches. Clever trick and they work very well.

    As for long travel, only go that route if it's really needed. Expensive and intense.

    i can spend the money on it cuz i know coilovers and long travel arent cheep.
    and i wanna make my truck when its done a trophy truck i want to make it a pre runner i also wanted to extend my from tires out by 5"

    It'll never be a trophy truck, but it can be made very capable with enough cash. Realize that for a decent long travel build front and rear with shocks and fabrication you're looking at over $20k. (For reference, my rear shocks alone retail for $1800 each.)

    If you want to race, you're well over $50k and more likely nearing 6 figures unless you can do the fabrication yourself.

    Set a realistic goal of what you want and how you'll use it and we can help you from there.

    camburg is 4" total chaos is 3.5" other than that no. you can add coilovers to give you an additional 3" over the ^ above

    yes you can!

    im running coilovers and the spindles. im running 4" right now and if i ever want to i can go up another 3" to a total of 7". you can run them with the stock shocks and springs making it a very easy, nice and versatile lifting option :) ooohh and not to mention no need for new uca's :) another great plus

    yes...and you can buy wheels with a different backspacing or get wheel spacers (which I don't recommend)

    wheels with a 4.5 to 5" Backspacing will be deeper...thus pushing your wheel out to allow you to run big meats :devil:

    the spindles do that already. they stick them out 3/4" i think but what scott said about the wheels will also give a wider stance
