Front Diff Drop

If I go up 2-2/2 inches in the front, is the differential drop really needed? I have heard/read that it could cause vibrations, so are the benefits worth it? Thanks!

why not install it, they are cheap and help with the angels, sounds like a win win to me....?

 

I have a 2.5 lift on my truck and I have a diff drop on my truck from toytec and i have no vibs.

 

Who makes the best diff drop kit as far as price and quality?

ya really cant go wrong as far as brand of diff drop, mines a toytec i got with my previous lift. no complaints from it yet, keeps my CVs at a decent angle so im a happy camper

 

^^ya have to put spacers on the OEM front skid on the 1st gens,not sure about 2nd gens though

How hard is a diff drop kit to install?

P.S. I think you can fit the kit on just fine with the all pro kids without needed any spacers, I think jhodge has done this.

Can I install a 1'' diff drop kit if I have an A.D.D. actuator on the front diff? Looking at it I can't see how it could possibly clear the lower cross member enough to install the spacers. I don't even think I could get a 1/2" of clearance before the actuator hits the cross member.
I have a 1997 Tacoma 4x4 with a 2.5"
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

 

anyone have pics of the kit installed, i'm failing to understand the instructions I have....? I know its two bolts.....geeze
