Waiting on the Bulldog canyon permit, if I get it today or tomorrow will head out there on Sunday after a morning hike. Just want to get the tires dirty and play around.

Maybe I'm just failing to grasp how they actually behave offroad but it seems like a locker is more useful if you lift a wheel, whereas the LSD is more useful if you're hitting gravel access roads where there's the possibility of smaller traction differences (hard packed under one wheel, loose under the other) and having to adapt on the fly instead of stopping to lock.

Ultimately if I'm going to be pulling the third member I'm gonna make it a "do it once" kinda thing.

If all youre worried about is fire roads i wouldnt worry about anything. If you wanna ever olay ariund passed that just do a selectable locker. Lock in it when leaving the pavement and forget about it until your back on. The locker on wash board will make the rear of the truck dance around a bit. But just be smooth.

Didnt you say you were gonna make it a street truck with like 24" rims or something anyways?

I’m thinking that the wisest diff mod for me at this point is drain the stock fill and replace with amsoil severe gear 75w90.

And yes I said I was going to focus my build more on street manners but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna donk it...
I’m just gonna own the fact that my rig is my DD rather than trying to pose as an overlander.

    Less length, more girth
Quiet Freedom vs 37s is a legit tough call
