Was that the hike you were referring to while we were at the dam? It's not set in stone that we will be up there that weekend. We might head to Yosemite but I really don't want to spend 35 bucks getting into a park that's filled with tourists.

Yes. And you'll likely have it all to yourselves. I've only seen pictures of the area, but there a a ton of small lakes up there. A truly beautiful spot. Totally understand, though. Yosemite is probably closer. I've been to Yosemite. I don't think it's changed much since then. Don't really need to go back. I'd rather explore new places while I'm still healthy enough to walk a few miles.

Yosemite is "closer" but I would rather have more seclusion from other people than to be in an area that is instagram popular with city folk. Any place that a passenger vehicle can get to are places that I kinda want to stray away from. Plus, not to be a nerd, I just checked the lunar cycle and June 12/13 there will be a new moon so the stars will be super visible.

Reminds me of a Yogi Berra quote: "No one goes there nowadays. It's too crowded."

I feel your pain. All the people are why I can't stand theme parks. You're building your truck to goes places where people don't typically go. Go there instead.

Yeah people think I'm weird for not ever wanting to go to theme parks.

The rides are cool, I guess. To me, it's overall a complete waste of money. If I'm going to pay that much to be entertained and eat shitty food, I'll go to a strip club. At least they have boobies.

Maybe something up 4 or 88 would be closer for the Bay Area folks.

The valley is an ashtray during the summer. During the winter during/after a snow storm it's much much nicer.

I completely agree, although I'm fairly certain that Roxie's Deli uses Dutch Crunch...everything is better with brisket.
