Yes. You'll have to peel all that plastidip off ofcourse. I rattle canned mined while the tire was still on the rim. Just made a curved cardboard template to help keep the paint of the tire.

I keep a can in the toolbox for touch ups. :)

    Great looking truck you have!!

I totally could be wrong as far as exactly what the lift is... I should/need to just try and contact the previous owner and get all the specs/mods that were done...

I also plan on getting a backup camera put in, due to the fact that you literally cannot see anything trying to back up at night with the back tinted windows.
Oh and a hideaway sub, I'm thinking underneath the seat!

Here's a quick glance of my stereo setup... I guess it's practically already wired for the sub I want.

Flat black from vatozone. About 5 cans should do it. I washed the rims and scuffed up that awful chrome with an sos pad.
Few coats of paint on each wheel and your golden.

Are those cooling fans or heat sinks on the back? I have Putco's in mine and aren't overly impressed with them tbh. Looking for other ideas, considering OPT7's real hard.

They are fans. I'm actually quite pleased with these ones. Easy installation and I found them at an amazing price on Amazon (typically cost is $80, looking at the manufacturers website):

If that is plastidip & you don't want to sit there & peel it all off, WD40 supposedly works. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/easiest-plasti-dip-removal.252092/

And there's a product by dipyourcar that is said to dissolve plastidip so you can just hose/pressure wash it off.

I don't have experience with either method though, never plastidip'd anything on my vehicles before. Just saw the dipyourcar product on youtube a while back. I'm sure it's just a mix of some cleaners, might be able to search online & find out what the cocktail is.

Make sure the main power wire for the amp isn't still connected. If you hit a bump and it grounds out, no bueno

Aye, I didn't think about that... How would I find out if it's still connected? Could I just take a meter and see if there's any current?

I have 2 kicker hideaways, both are on one power feed(works just fine)have one set at a different frequency..so when the bass frequency changes the other speaker picks it up....really made a difference in the whole experience.
You would be surprised at what 2 of these things sound like.......hard hitting(for 8 inch)and resist destortion at high volume levels(my favorite)I have identified 2 songs that have a cell phone alert in them....never heard it before till I set this Tacoma up.

There should be a big fuse on the red wire under the hood. Pull it out if it's still in there and save it til you install an amp

So here's some pics from underneath the truck... (no clue what kind of shocks/suspension (if they're good ones), or of sort of lift was done, etc.) Maybe you fine people would be able to tell?

Aye ok, I know exactly which big red wire you're talking about! I'll totally check that out tomorrow.
Would an amp be necessary, if I were to get, say a Kicker hideaway sub? Or something of that sort?...
