I've been "departed" for a week now, it's glorious! Enough with work, I've had it! Enjoying doing nothing. In the words of the Godfather, they offered me a deal I couldn't refuse.

Did any of you peeps do the post purchase "toyota training" with your dealership? Like where after you own the truck for a month you can make an appointment and they teach you how to use all the features? My wife did it with her Legacy and she learned some interesting tricks that wasn't really in the manual. Just wondering what your experiences were.

No, they offered to show me the features but I just wanted to get the hell out after dealing with them for three hours. Sounds like a good idea tho.

Thanks, feels like I'm just on vacation at the moment. It'll take a while.

Thinking about greeting people at Walmart. :D

    "Screw you...screw her....go to hell...asshole"

I've never been fired, so might be worth the experience.

They do it at our dealership every 6 months. I haven't done it, but from what I hear it's worth the visit. TW pretty much taught me everything about the Gen3 before I bought it. A few more things to learn, but not much.

This is a later after purchase appointment that a specialist meets you from the local area and goes over everything. She fixed the stereo always trying to find the phone plugged into the car ordeal we had with the legacy and I was impressed.

Never been fired? You are too fucking nice and competent. You should have been more of an asshole fuckup like me and you could have experienced the real banhammer . Sounds like you are on the right path with the Walmart plan tho.

That reminds me of the time I used to work in a warehouse and I would collect a group of idiots in the morning and gave them a ride to work. Some of them would still be drunk when I got to their apartment at 7 am. My manager was giving clients a tour of the (office supply) warehouse once and found one of the guys asleep in a filing cabinet.

Fired enough people, but never been fired myself. I've gotten to the point where I hate managing people, babysitting is no longer something I want to responsible for. Probably get the haters for this, but managing union folks with their unreasonable entitlements and self gratification is a pain in the ass...I'm done. Maybe pointing out the right screw in Home Depot could be fun too!

LOL, that reminds me of a time I was in San Fran and pulled up to a corner in my Jeep. A bunch of guys ran up to the Jeep and I thought they were trying to rob me. I ran a red light to get out of there. Turns out after I talked to a local that they were actually looking for day work and they thought I was looking for workers. Dumb Canadian not knowing how it worked around there. Too funny looking back on it now, doesn't happen in our neck of the woods.

True, but I've been to Washington DC and that place is fuckin' scary after dark dude. Out of all the places in the US I've been, 26 States, that place is the fucking worst. And I've been to Compton.

I feel you bro. I had a pimp and two of his girls try to force their way into a cab I was in with business associates there. True story. You just need to be careful where you are at. I actually like DC tho. So much to see and do and great food. Like the Red Hen.

Yeah, I had to attend FERC hearings regularly. The lawyers were scarier than the pimp and his hos

The Smithsonian museums are amazing!! Everyone should experience them...absolutely a highlite in my life! Other Washington monuments are fantastic. Amazing place to visit, but after sunset best to lock yourself in your hotel or get out of town. The city changes into something different. Couldn't believe how a block from the White House transforms into a seedy ghetto. Didn't think we were making it back on foot, but we were lucky, IMO.
