EDIT: got it thanks for the help guys!!

I am in the middle of installing my front lift (885’s and 5100’s) and am having trouble getting the ball joint bolt back into the spindle. What am I not doing right? I’ve tried a ratchet strap and it gets it to the point where I can thread the nut on but then I can’t get the hooks off the UCA. Need to get this back together today. T. I. A.

How about a jack under the lower control arm to lift it up into.

get rid of the strap, jack up the LCA and the balljoint will slip right in there. Make sure the ball joint bolt and hole a clean with a very thin smdge of antiseize if you want

That seems like it will work. I had thought about that but figured I would lift the truck off the stands when I did that. Thanks for the suggestion

To stop the truck from lifting off the jack when you jack up the front suspension on one side, it does that because you are compressing the rear end on the diagonal side. So if you need to jack your front left for exampe, put another jack or stand under the frame infront of the rear wheel on the right.

Did them on my wife's FJ. These suspensions really are easy to work on.
