I’m sure he’ll chime in when he has internet reception. That said, I believe he has a 6” BDS drop bracket lift coupled with King suspension and TC UCAs.

Well since my future plans are to purchase the Dual Battery Split-System by Off-Grid Engineering, I figured I would purchase my first Odyssey Battery. I will purchase the second one when I eventually get the Dual Battery Setup. Should arrive in 3-5 days. Hoping it’s more like 3 with the holiday coming up.

The short version is Tuff country 6 inch lift switched out to Rough Country spindles because the tough country made a major issue with the truck. Then I had custom King coilovers so there's no spacers. Total chaos uppers. Bilstiens in the rear with Alcan full leaf pack. 285 75 17 Nitto Ridge grapplers with one inch Bora spacers, Pro Comp rims 4.5 backspacing. :)

Well I finally jumped into a project I’ve been thinking about for months now. I have an access cab and I’ve seen several people install the double cab running boards to get a “wheel to wheel” effect. I didn’t want to spend the money on sliders at this point since I doubt I’ll ever need them really. I really like the look of the shark running boards so I bought a set for a double cab and made them fit my access cab.

There is an internal structure to the steps that unbolts to the outer skin. This structure has brackets with rivnuts in them to bolt them to the hangers on the truck. The front and center hangers line up just fine on the truck. The rear most bracket is 13” too far back for the access cab hanger mounting holes. So I went to my work and had one of my fabricators tack on a steel plate 13” forward.

    297F4B83-0E32-4F2C-AE20-43ABCA2406A7.jpg

I then mounted it on the truck, drilled the holes in the new plate and used the factory screws with a lock washer and nut to secure it. Works just like it’s supposed to!

    8B8D237C-4A39-4E2B-8FD3-A0461D79A3C4.jpg

Here it is after final install. Very happy with the look and now I have easier access my prinsu toprac.

    7D6136C0-8C4D-487B-B0EB-2BF4CDD40939.jpg

    7B0AB901-1DF1-4177-93BF-6FE8854D54B2.jpg

They stick out and are just inside the mud flaps. Once I upgrade to T4R pro rims and 275s, those will give me a slightly wider stance and really make it look good. These have a raptor style look to them which I really like.

The other thing I really like about these steps is that the top part that is visible is more like a “skin”. So I could eventually have sliders made to have this “skin” on top of it to maintain the look but with added strength and protection.

Wanted to share this project with you guys in case someone wants to replicate it. All you need is a way to cut a couple of small steel flat pieces and a welder. Took me all of 3 hours to do today and I had to drive to work and back to finish. Could be done in an hour if you have the tools at home.

Finished product. Added a couple strut angles for tire guide. Rear tire is a few inches in from the edge of the tailgate so good to go.

I have a bed rug and they provide heavy duty Velcro to secure it in place. It works really well and looks factory if you do it properly.
