We all do at some point. Enjoy it and don’t look back as it will all be a distant memory and you’ll slowly love and enjoy it!

Interesting point. Maybe my subliminal sense was that the day could be salvaged by accepting timelessness versus trendiness.

As others have said, the stickers are easy to remove. Forget about what you paid, it's done. The black interior sucks but I just resign myself to cleaning it more often. You'll figure out ways to compensate for the shorter bed. The DC has its own advantages. All first world problems. Enjoy your truck.

Cement is nice, but silver looks much better in so many different lighting scenarios. Plus, it’s one of the best colors for looking clean even when it’s dirty as hell. The only color in my opinion that I would have tempted to get other than my silver is blue. Such a sweet color.

We all tend to sometimes have that little bit of remorse. Should have, could have, would have. Either way enjoy what you have. It's a privilege and blessing to be able to drive and have a new truck. Good luck with it! It's a nice ride.

The silver looks way better than cement IMO. Cement just has a novelty to it, but honestly that wears off after a couple months and further down the line you might actually get sick of it. Silver fits the truck better. I feel you on the short bed though, I love my DCLB and can't see myself ever moving into a short bed.

Good advice, thanks. I do wish I would have noticed I was buying the black interior, for gosh sakes. Goes to show you how a brain, at least an elderly one like mine, gets scrambled in the buying process.

It’s just a truck, you know, but it’s become a family thing and fun. If it weren’t storming here right now, I’d be out driving....

Congrats on a beautiful truck! Theres a mat you can buy for like $30 that fits in the back perfectly. I leave my rear seats down all the time. If there are 3 people or more, its a great excuse to take someone elses ride.20180630_190813.jpg

You’ll be fine, it’s a great head turner truck.
Moreover it will impress you with it’s prowess and reliability that will grow on you if you let it. Most of all you’ll enjoy it more by staying away from all the negativity that some can bring here which can grow faster than the peace, joy and happiness your truck can provide.

    Cheers!

I went home tired but happy when I got mine, almost 2 weeks now still thrilled to have it. I am good at haggling and walked away from the original offer, they gave me a great price on the truck but tried to stick it to me on my trade in, I said no thanks and walked, customer service called me 2 days later asking about my experience. I told them the sales person was friendly, they asked what stopped me from buying a truck and I told them I needed a fair price for my trade and I would have done it. By the time I got home from work the dealership called me and asked what I wanted for my trade, they offered me a fair price and I bought the Tacoma. Went to the RV dealer I have been dealing with for the last 4-5yrs and told them I was looking to trade my 27ft camper cause I can't pull it anymore, gave me a great deal on a A-liner and they even sent someone to pick up my camper. Plus mine is Inferno color so how could you not like seeing that every day when you get up!

Congrats on the new purchase! I had a few initial regrets as well. First, I wanted 4wd, but settled for 2wd due to lack of options at my dealership. Still haven't been in a situation where I would have even used 4wd 4 years later. Second, I wanted that dark gray color (forget what it's called now), but settled for Nautical Blue again because of limited dealer options. I've grown to love the color as I rarely see any around where I live, so it feels more unique, whereas I see that dark gray color everywhere I go. In all, my initial regrets ultimately turned into positives.

Can’t do anything about the short bed or price tag m now, but down the road, if it really bothers you, you could always wrap or paint the truck. A little bit of a waste of money? Debateable, but the color is not permanently irreversible. Also, @Clazzio makes some great seat covers and center console covers if you want a different shade.

On the bright side, at least you got the OR trim you wanted. No need to be ashamed to drive it on paved roads!

Silver was always my go to color but since my last two 4Runners were silver I've been dealing with a few dearlerships on an inferno Tacoma. Figured it was time for something different.
