    If at speed it works sounds like a fan would help. System seems to work otherwise, so just get more air moving. Maybe swap to electric fans and loose the clutch fan?

    Agreed. Not sure why, I noticed how poor it was shortly after buying the truck. GFs 2006 Mariner can try to turn the cabin into an icebox. The Tacoma's AC just seems to barely pass muster as an AC system when it is hot, even though it is nearly new.

    The vents are a bit smaller than I'd like, but I set mine at 70 and it gets pretty cold for me within a few minutes.

    Recharge it... Mine was similar, 2010 with 113,000 miles and the thing took a whole bottle of coolant. It is cold, all the time, again.

    Not sure why but my AC is a lot colder when taking outside air (even when 100*F outside) instead of recirculate.

    I have a thread going about this. You need an auxiliary fan on the condenser. I am wanting to add one but I am not sure how to mount it.

    My Tacoma has always had VERY cold air. Even here in GA where it can get very hot I've never had any issues. We also have an 09 Honda that I've never liked to drive when it was really hot. About a month ago I tried one of the DIY kits to recharge the from Wally World. Cost me about $15 IIRC. When I connected the hoses the gauge was showing it normal, but on the low side of normal. I slowly added more until it was still in the normal range, but on the high side. It made a HUGE difference.

    No no no,you need to take it to a shop so they can pull a vacuum and recharge. You cannot actually buy r134
