I believe it. Mine died in about 4 months, flat. I ended up buying an AGM on my own since I didn't have time for the dealer.

Yes or add an exemption. You also need to get rid of that McAfee on a Windows machine and only run Windows Defender

Instead of trolling their IG just went down there and had a nice conversation. There's a difference of being that guy on the internet who post over and over and the guy standing in front of you who's there to buy product.

Seems a little pricey. Did they give any hint about expected gains? Does it come tuned or they throwing it on stock trucks.

Will follow up to emails today. (Everyone)

Well, I am about to use the Taco to run over the laptop till its dust. I removed the ovtune software trying to clean everything up and even with defender and McAfee turned off I can get it to load back on from a fresh download. This has been a disaster from day one and I haven't even gotten the registry file yet.

it's likely not just McAfee then. Disable windows defender. As soon as I have the system ID I can create the reg key

Hey guys, just received my tune files from Matt and programmed my Tacoma with the 91 tune.

Now granted I have only driven 20 miles since I got it so this is only a first impression and would gladly like feedback.

    The good:
Much more aggressive in the throttle response.
Smooth transitions to timing advances and direct injection
Hangs onto gears a bit longer so there is more power when asked for

The bad or at least ? in my mind
after about 7 miles I came to a stop and stomped on it. It revved up to 6000rpm in 1st and shifted to 2nd and hung around 4k or so rpm and did nothing for about 2 seconds. Only did this once.
I passed someone and the truck shifted down to 4th and I passed them doing about 70. When I merged back into my lane, the truck hung on to 4th for several seconds before it shifted to 5th. Only did this once too.

So far that's all I got guys. Thanks in advance. And well done Matt!

I'd love to seen tune/turbo at $5999 shipped. I suspect about 25% of all 3rd gen owners would pay for that little "correction" to Toyota's 3 year old design.

Put a couple hundred miles on it, the tune has to settle in

Perhaps he has, but I'd like to see Matt comment on this specifically. Post tune, the truck does not learn, but the tune has to settle in?? What am I missing? Likely something obvious!

Mat has said it before. It takes some time for the tune to learn all of it's trims and such.. it's not the same as the transmission learning that the stock tune has.

Ill double check, it was sent to support@ovtune.zendesk.com, a reply to the original ticket (automatic email with the link)?

I ask because I see many people submitting multiple tickets and they have to be merged and closed, it just takes extra time vs replying to the same ticket.

The truck does have several things that has to be learned over the course of some extra miles, things like ignition correction, fuel, etc.
The truck hanging in 4th is an issue that is still being worked on and exists on the stock tune. I would say you efinitely have to do some more driving, in 7 miles the truck hasn't even finished basic long term trims

Understood. I plan to drive it 30 miles tomorrow and will report back mid next week with an update.

    Thanks Matt.
