Just watched the departed for the first time the other night, good movie.

The new jurrasic world movie however, started out strong, finished soft (insert sex joke here)

It's been a couple weeks now that the Oaktown rats have been prepping for Independence Day fireworks. Yesterday, before dark, I heard a couple reports that sounded like artillery. It was insane. It was so loud, even from up where I live, that close by it had to have set off car alarms in a 10 block radius. Yes, there were a couple busts in recent weeks in which tons of illegal fireworks were confiscated, but it doesn't seem to be a factor for the hood. People were lighting shit off even at 0430 when I got up to pee. Should be insane on Wednesday. As usual.

 

When I used to live in EPA, my poor dog would shit itself from fear of all the loud fireworks. I am happy to live in a no fireworks town again. Not my cupa.

 

Saw Jurrasic World last night, bad guys were just weak and the plot riddled. I can fill in gaps readily enough but the inconsistencies were too much. The special effects had to carry the entire movie. Not a bad movie but could have been much better. Length was it's strongest suit, theater AC worked fine.

 

I just have to say I love you fuckers. Those who I’ve met and haven’t met in person. Much better community than my old subaru wrx group. Granted you’ll get shit talk to your face but no one has been completely unreasonable! Grab a brew and drink on this beautiful Sunday!

Hey, Oakland is a "No Fireworks Town". Sorta. Not really. It's posted in the open spaces, but in the hood, most people don't (can't) read the signs.

 

Even here in Santa Clara, they can't read the signs. People go to the school/ball field down the street and launch away (as in big stuff). All hours of the night...
