Oh hell naw... I clicked onto a random part in his video and I can barely comprehend what the hell is going on.

That's something I'd let someone else do.

For example: My TC was fucked unbeknownst to me when I did my 4WD swap and left me stranded. Yes, I could've removed the transmission again and re-done it all - but at that point it wasn't worth my time. I'd rather have someone who knows what they're doing take care of it.

There is a point where you have to leave something up to the professionals. Or if you're lazy, that too.

My E320 had a bad transmission pan gasket. Mercedes in all their infinite wisdom decided to make a bizarre two-layer transmission pan, and require dropping the whole tranny to do it.

Nope. Not going to touch a German car, let alone a merc. I'll let someone else suffer.

I took one look at a factory Merc wiring schematic out of curiosity. And wow do I appreciate what Toyota has done with their wire schematics when I looked at that thing. Number one, it's in black and white. Number two, it's in German. Nope, not touching it - or more correctly, Nein.

Heh... I have to sandblast and paint almost 100 horns, fabricate 25 wiring harnesses, and ship all orders out within the next two weeks.

    After that I'm on vacation.

exactly. I'm watching this thing and thinking - no damn way I'm going to attempt this. NEIN

What sucks, just dropped a grand on the OME kit, was about to order new tires after installing the kit - then this axle seal crap happens. I knew the rear brakes were on the to-do list but didn't expect the axle seal to go... always something comes up. Oh well.

If you own a hammer and a block of wood you can rebuild your UCAs, if you own a press you can start a business rebuilding UCAs haha. It seriously easy, oh yeah you need snap ring pliers too.

Factory locker. Almost wondering if maybe I killed the seal... in 16 years I haven't ever needed the damn locker. every now and then, I'll engage it then disengage it just to be sure its still alive. This last time around, once it was engaged and I disengaged it - it just kept blinking. I let off the brake a little and noticed that the left tire and right tire were grabbing big time - and not in sync with each other. I applied the brake and felt it disengage and light went off. didn't think anything of it.

So as I understand it, they are replacing the seal, gasket, bearing, bearing retainer and the snap ring. No ABS so that part doesn't apply. Quoted it as a 3.5 hour job - not sure if that was bogus but screw it, not going to bother with it. I'll let them do it and hopefully it doesn't fail because the tech botched it.

That performance shop I went to outside Sacramento was seriously cool. The whole complex was that shock and fab shop, and a huge off-road parts shop.

It looks like the owner of the performance shop made his business off of rebuilding shocks and coilovers. Seriously, that's all he does. He also does fab work but it looks like that accounts for a very small portion of his business.

I have to post some pics of that place from my trip, he had some cool cars in there. There was a custom desert runner he build from scratch in there.

You just have to find that one niche speciality to make your millions. Never in my life would I think I would make a business out of refurbishing and selling car horns.

That's understandable, that job is a pain in the ass. Even I don't wanna waste my time on it, just fixing something that's gonna break again.

Also @BartMaster1234 you reminded me I have to do brakes on the rear of the cruiser tomorrow. It's squaking really bad.

    Want to trade axles!?

Now that I think of it, not many Tacomas came in 4.30 - I used a 4Runner front diff because I could never find a 4.30 Taco front end.
