Couldn’t get to sleep either, took one of those Melatonin gummies because I have had good luck with them, stared at the ceiling some more. Finally fell asleep like an hour ago and just woke up again feeling like ass. :bananadead:

Not terrible for $9k saves him some money for repairs or mods, and if he does a once over on that engine should be good for many more years.

Nice, we have plans to do ours eventually, and was wanting to get an airless sprayer to do it, good to know it worked out.

Need to start buying things for the trip to Texas, I leave in September. Just paid all my bills and still have monies left over to buy stuff for the truck.

What are necessities for you guys when you take a drive that long? I've never actually driven that far before so I'm excited.

If you have a lift or upgraded larger tires, make sure you have a jack or hi lift that can support your lift, as well as a spare that size, oil change, and all fluids good before trip, always bring at least a gallon of water for emergency use, to either drink or coolant leak issues. Is your bed open or do you have a cover/shell? Anything you put back there will be open to the elements during the drive.

Forgot about the hi-lift, I have a lift but not huge tires, they're 32's. I also plan on flushing all the fluids before the trip. Not sure if the PO ever did it or not. I don't have a shell, maybe just tarp it?

I'm going to be staying in a town called Kyle/Buda. Im going to be camping on my grandparents land cause their home is kind of full of people. It would just make it easier for my own space and comfort. Throughout the trip I'm going to be wheeling and visiting San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and DFW. I'm going to be out there for a week.

sounds fun. used to go to Austin in college for spring break. Texas is pretty nice.

PHX to Austin is a rough single day drive though. @RPS1030 is very knowledgeable about Texas.

Is Brotruck into older women? They’d be a cute couple.

Thanks for the heads up about private land, you're saving me the hassle. Any recommendations on where to wheel? Do you think I could make it up there in a day? We plan on leaving early Friday morning, maybe 6 am. Google maps says 15 1/2 hours but that doesn't include stopping for gas and restroom breaks.
