A lil this a lil that.
I'm thinking the 285s with the added weight is what's killing me.

It's a matter of personal preference. To me the silver is not similar enough to the cement color to match it well, but it's not different enough to contrast it.

Can anyone who's taken delivery of their GFC help me out with just one more thing as far as color choices go. After re-watching the GFC walk around video I'm thinking white GFC with Grey tubes on my MGM taco might be the way to go.

Can anyone who has grey tubes tell me how close that color is to MGM? I'm thinking if the tubing matches, white might really look cool. Thanks again TW/ GFC world. I need to get back to Graeme about color sooner than later...

How windy is it? If it windy open road then that’s the mpg you’ll be getting.

Driving around more plains areas of Colorado, Wyoming, nebraska, Kansas, etc I can get from 11-21 mpg depending on wind

The part that intrigued me most about that is that they made a square version of the hard bed panel that extends from cab portion of bed to the rear of the tire arches for a platform. Wonder if that’s going to be available to purchase...

    Not sure what you mean?

Like instead of 2 small square panels and one rectangle the front is one big square with only the two small squares in the back?

That would seem a lot more limiting

It was in the second part of their story. It’s definitely not the panel that holds the rectanglular portion as it’s too square.

Haha.... guess i should have watched the whole thing, but i was driving. I just watched it. I’m 99% sure that’s just the standard setup.

That panel is just a bed platform? I’m running a set of Decked drawers in mine. I know a few guys that are running the GFC have platforms. Easier to get in and out and a lot more storage. I like it because it gives me a full flat floor.

what is the width of the platform above. Could I use it as a partial platform in the bed. I'm looking at doing a 1/2 (lengthwise) platform instead of a full deck so I can sleep on it and store some stuff below it, but it won't take up the whole bed. Hopefully a mtn bike will fit on the other side upright. Thats my idea anyway. I'll use a small ply piece to make up the difference in the length and removable legs for the inside(middle of bed) of the platform. I could then move the platform to the front like IEATTACO if I wanted more room in the back of the bed. Modular is best...or I could just cut a length of 3/4" ply instead:)

Jeez, does this statement/idea even make sense?

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, supported on the wheel well. I like the idea of having some stuff hidden from view, while still having a bike upright in the back (thanks for info). I also like the idea of an alternate sleeping deck for stealth/3 peoplecamping/snoreboxes. I'm supposed to get my gfc in Aug, if my vision comes together I'll post a pic.
