I have a complete build thread over on the garage journal forum. I'm pretty sure I have all dimensions listed. Become a member and lose a couple hours.

I got the same member name.

What kind of Hood do you use ?? When was the last time you installed a new head gear ??

Do you have the head gear adjusted correct ?? Although with a a Cone Head you need the special head gear

I can understand still nodding the head after years of passive hoods it is a habit just like reaching for the striker with a plasma machine.

Dammit! My cut list does not say 45* both ends!

This is the kind of shit that annoys me. Now I get to spend 15 grafting on an extension...provided I have some scrap laying around.IMG_20180701_121855.jpg

I feel like the details of this post is worth it's own thread.

Part if me wants to know more and part of me says leave it alone.

Couple of guys i work with who have shops have spare rooms in their shops. End up getting used a lot more than they planned lol. Sort of an office with a futon type setup. But people who drink a tad to much have a nice room to sleep in. Or when they end up working funky hours its a nice quiet place for them to go sleep and not have to have the wife/husband try to be quiet inside the house.

When we finally move and build our place the we are going to do a pretty large shop but have a second story sort of apartment. Build the shop and "apartment" first and get settled in and then build the house. But that way parents and grandparents can come visit and have a place to stay. Same with friends. And later on the kid can have their "own" place.

Just read the last 15 pages out of boredom and man am I jelly of everyone's mig machines :jellydance: I'm over here welding on a $90 Amazon special flux core welder with a busted wire speed knob and tripping my breaker all the time. This was yesterdays project. I probably stopped and started 6 times over 15 minutes from tripping the breaker.

It's not necessarily the money so much as my set up. I don't have a garage and I have some stairs from my driveway to my house. The idea of carrying a tank of gas outside every time to weld sounds terrible haha plus I'm only renting so I can't wire in a proper circuit. Only 10 more months until I move states and buy my own house :fingerscrossed:

Edit: For now my little welder has been working fine for what I need, which is just little odds and ends here and there. I've gotten my moneys worth for sure!

No, but I used to be. I lived there for 3 years and then moved 4 hours north to the DC area. And now I very well may be moving back down to chesepeake which is nearish to little creek. It's an OK area, nothing too terribly exciting.

Lol. That's getting cut up and going straight to the scrap yard.

I've been rolling on the HF bedliner paint the last couple years. It's seem to hold up better than anything else I've used in the past.

Ugh, I couldn't get out of the Tidewater area on a bet when I was in. Went to A/C school in Dam Neck (Va Beach) and then ended up in the shipyard in Newport News.

Dam neck seemed nice the couple times I went over there! Much more secluded than norfok/va beach.
