I expect it to get louder with time and I think I do notice a possible throttle increase with it but I haven't driven enough yet to tell for sure. Very happy though thanks tacomakid!

So is there any benefit to having the tip of the exhaust right under the truck instead of rear tire? Better sound that way?

How does it sound under load?

No benefit really, maybe a different sound.

Do you have any other performance mods besides these? I'd like to hear it with the DTLT Headers.

Plan on doing this either tomorrow, or weekend

I think it sounds better when driving than just when revving in the driveway like that. I dont think it makes a difference in sound if it's dumped there or not, my buddy and I didn't want to go to the trouble of getting more piping to keep the stock location so we just dumped it there. I do know that a slash cut tip sounds more deep and throaty where a straight cut will sound a little more poppy and raspy.

I'm sure you will hear a slight difference but I doubt it will be anything too intense just because it is stock piping.

Did anyone with an SR5 (NON-TRD) piping order a 2.5? I can't remember if I ordered the 2.5 or not and I want to make sure that I got the right size. If it's different am I still able to put it on?

Ive got a sr5, i went with 2.5. There really isnt a big size difference in them. You can still use it, just gives a slight more sound with the 2.5 out vs the 2.25 out.

Mine is coming this evening! :woot: I also called a few local muffler shops and they both said it would cost around $100 to install. This seems a bit much

I really cant imagine it would make any difference, can't see how the orientation of the muffler body change the way sound resonates through it

Okay awesome I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be a problem with the actual install so I don't have to ship it back or anything.

    I got mine today :woot:
