Ok, so today driving my wife and I stopped at a gas station where there was a beautiful lifted tundra with a TRD pro grille with color matched letters. My wife said that grille looked better then mine because it had color on it that matched the truck, and that I should do the same. Is there a place where I can order them?

Do you have the vinyl inlays for the tailgate that lots of folks use to enhance that area?

Since you'd want contrast there instead of matching, an alternative would be to make the grill lettering match the tailgate.

Show the wife your decorating chops.

Maybe the fella who makes the tailgate inlays (sorry I forget the name) could help you out with a full set.

You're right. I had the wrong link and got confused. But I assumed all the Tacoma letterings were the same (3rd gen included) so I figured they would all work. I may be mistaken though.

I believe you can remove the letters, I may be wrong. If you can, it'd be easier to plasti dip the letters.

Don’t want to deal with plasti dip again... pain in the ass when you have to remove it or when it chips

So I think it will look stupid if you color match the letters. If you had a trim color then I would say match it to that. I really like the gunmetal color it is now honestly.

BUT I actually noticed today that camelback Toyota is selling OEM color matched grilles for our trucks for $230 or something. I think your truck would look NICE with a white grille frame.

    Just my .02
