Thank goodness you guys have AC. In September when we have our Indian Summer it can get up to 100*. Nobody here has AC! It really sucks on those days, but I try to get out of town and get a hotel room with AC!

 

Just make sure that you dont go to full service station... The Gas boy might think your truck wants a taco sauce.. mild or spicy

 

What size tires were you running in this picture? Stock wheels? Wanting to do some spacers. Not wanting to get wheels yet I like the stock look for now.

It's a completely different system. The connectors are different so don't even try to change them. This last week I insulated the back wall with the RAAM Audio system and it made a huge difference in the tightness and definition in the bass from the subwoofer, not to mention a significant reduction in cabin noise. Next is the doors. Let me know if you're going to do it and I'll give you some pointers.

 

Yea fuck that noise. I grew up without AC. Now I keep my house at 65 degrees at night. Anything over 50 degrees and I'm miserable! Anything over 70 degrees and it might as well be 200. Been this way every since I was a baby according to my elders. I can literally wear shorts and a T shirt down to 40. I've done the Polar Bear Plunge 3 times. It doesn't help that I'm a larger than normal guy.

I'm thinking of installing 5100s and 887 coils on my SR5 dcsb, would you mind telling me more specifically what the problems you noticed with your ucas were? I will rarely be offroad, and if so only in mud/rocks/dirt so I'm wondering if that might allow me to avoid replacing the ucas? Thanks in advance

 

Just another mod of sorts.
I didn’t like the idea of a phone mount mounted on and in front of my a/c vent since I DO live in SE Texas near the Gulf Coast, think 95+ F and 95%+ humidity.

Found a solution of sorts.
Similar mount to what I have since for some reason they don’t sell the one I have on Amazon anymore. Wipe the dash a few times with alcohol, sticks like a charm, also put the flat magnetic round ‘dot’ on the lower end of your phone or case to mount it correctly as pictured :

Holy crap!

 

I noticed if I just go over a tall speed bump too fast it seems to top out. It has reduced the droop travel essentially.

 

That definitely sounds like a problem. I didn't know that aftermarket ucas would solve an issue of up and down wheel travel, I thought they were usually to solve the wheel sitting too far towards the rear of the wheel well. Learn something new every day, thanks

 

Solves both issues. I’ll re-post once I replace the UCA’s.

 

Has to do with getting correct alignment numbers. When you lift using the stock UCAs you will eventually run out of adjustment on your cambolts.
As far as off-roading, having stock UCAs with a certain height lift or higher can potentially lead to blown ball joints.

 

Gotcha. Its sounding like I will probably get 2.5 inches of lift on that lift setup, and I'm hoping to be able to keep my stock ucas. If I notice problems, I will then replace them
