I wish I could go. I'll be in the middle of working cherry season. My busiest time of the year. I haven't had any summer fun in 10 years! Damn the produce industry!!

I'm an independent buyer/inspector. I purchase & do inspections of the fruit for a retail chain in Texas & do inspections for a retailer that has several divisions in various spots (KC, Fort Worth, Springfield, Memphis, & Nashville.) All my stuff is domestic. Used to do export, but not anymore.

Right now is my slow time of the year. Once the cherries start, I'll work 60-80hour weeks. It's crazy, but worth it.

Yup. Harvest is a fun time. Cherries June till mid August. Peaches, Nectarines July till mid September. Apples, pears August till mid to late Oct. Then it's look at apples & pears all year out of storage. Not to mention potatoes, apricots, plums, italian prunes, & whatever else I can buy & sell. Never a dull moment.

    What do you grow snowgod?

i dont grow, but work for a multitude of farmers here that hire us to harvest their land. It's all grass seed and bales down here. Fescue, rye, perennial, bent, wheat, annual. Seed stays here and ships around the US. The bales we produce go through our press and are compacted down, then shipped to Korea, Iran, China, Russia. Some goes to canada and mexico but not much.

That's my back yard living in Hillsboro. Only a 30 minute drive from my house and where I learned how to wheel hard in my jeep. I recommend you stay away from Rockcrusher off of Firebreak five. Go look at it, but don't go in there with a rig you have to drive home, trust me on this one.

Archers firebreak is one of my favorite trails. Lots of turnouts for those who don't want to take the risk, and lots of carnage opportunities for those that do. Also, it's one of the longest trails in the OHV area.

My favs for challenging terrain (CJ7 with 35s, lockers, winch and armor) are Archers, Airplane, Bates, Firebreak 5, Rocky Uphill, Hogsback and 7up. I've never gone up 7up, it scares me how steep it is, but I've seen it done in Toyota wheel based trucks.

Once you guys learn that area, hook up with the BrushBusters some trip and go wheel the Trask area. Lots of challenging terrain in that area too. South of TSF OHV area.

Well I am probably going to have a better chance of making this trip than the one down here. We arent planning on opening my station for quite a while and the only way I can make it is if we open my station because it will give me a different shift. I have my fingers crossed.
