Yeah. Shit only took me an hr to bend it. Insain Fab had the bender. I had to go get it, set it up and start again. Thanks for the motivation man, seriously I’m glad I’m doing it over. Plus I only needed 8sticks of 20’. But I got 9 sticks of 22’. I did get extra.

That sucks. First gen cabs are hard to work with. I just lowered my seats down to the floor. I’m short, but max passenger is probably 6’ tops.

Yeah he was sitting in the new seat. Sure the foam needs to brake in but it was just to close to his head to let it fly. And if I was going to wear helmets then they would rub the cage.

When welding you see the arc and bead but the path your following is shaded. So it helps to keep track of the path of welding. Especially in dark places. Plus when welding tube your following a curved path so it’s easy to loose your direction and not stay on point.

Finished the roof. I reused the front tubes. All I had to do is recut the notches. I also changed how I notched the rear of the roof. Instead of saddling the joint. I notched it to sit against the main tube. The reason is in order to weld 360 around the tubes. I’ll add a corner gussets from the rear tube to the roof and tie it in that way. The roof fits fairly tight. Pretty happy with it.

So @MadTaco461 and @Cr250jumper I was thinking about the plates to weld the cage to the cab. I see you guy have one on the A pillar and overhead on the A pillar. Where else would you guys recomend me to add plates to weld the cab to the cage. Thinking B and c pillar down to the floor.

Barb wanted to sleep in this morning so I re drew the Link design. Basically I moved the lower link 3/4”back, moved the axle back 3/4” and extended the upper link 3/4”. This made the coilover and bypass bump close to vertical. It also moved the coilover back to help clear the cab and have less cab to chop. I still don’t know how this lengthing of the upper link is going to effect pinion angles so I need to read up and understand that part of the setup.

Upper one is old and the bottom is new.

Another thing I did was cut off all the old cage mounts. Got it ready to design the new bed cage when I’m done with the cab.

Finished the B pillar. I had to start over because I raised the roof. When I have a bent tubes that have a short section that needs to be notched I do it like this. There is still minor adjustments but it gets real close.

I thought about doing my b and c pillar, but my cab doesn’t move the way it is. If I get a squeak or crack I’ll add more. There really no weight on my cab anymore.
