those of you with ARB Awnings and Prinsu racks, do you need any extra mounting hardware or does the awning come with hardware needed to mount to Prinsu?

You need extra mounts. Sierra Expeditions is the cheapest place I've found them.

Or you can cobble together some stuff but the awning will sit lower and the zipper will get caught in the door

 

I used the Prinsu brackets.

Got them used, they work great. Not sure I’d pay retail for them.

 

hmm 4wp has two versions listed

 

I can only speak for the rack it had all the hardware needed to mount the rack and a few spares. They also have new cross bars now where you dont have to take it off to add something.

 

If you can find the cheaper do that, they are fancy and don't need to be that strong, but understand they are sold as singles

 

2 enough for a 6ft awning? Its gonna hang off the back if the cab a little

 

I’ve definitely rafted close to that Malibu before now that I think about it. Party cove is my jam.

The dam is my jam, I preferred to be away from everyone. Lot more room for activities at cedar creek dam at least.

 

There’s another cove we hit if trying to chill, but party cove is still my flavor lol.

For those on 285/70-17s, what ya'll running for tire pressure. Tires are E rated ST Maxx on a DCLB

 

Only way to know what your trucks tire pressure should be at is to chalk test. Someone might be able to get you close but the weight of the vehicle affects the tire pressure needed.

 

Yea. I just wanted to get close and then I'll be able to dial it in with a chalk test

 

I only go when were done riding. I spend 99% of my time on the brazos river riding, and another 1% at the party beach.

I got some extra hardware and rigged up my own mounting solution when I put my awning on my prinsu, used some bolts, metal spacers, and such and mounted it directly to the awning, did not get in the way of the doors if I recall.

I guess I didn't save any pictures of how it was mounted onto google photos... but I did have a picture of my hardware box that shows the hardware I used...

The stuff in the red box.

Bolt head went in the awning track, then fender washer, then spacer, then washer, then prinsu, then washer, and then nylon lock nut. I think I used like 5 for a 6ft awning and it was strong and held up well.

 

Not yet. Need new outter tie rod, for sure, but might need a new R&P. This ones just over a year old, but it’s a rock auto order, so not sure on their quality. I think it has a 2 year warranty, but not looking forward to replacing it, again.

 

My awning came with the mounting brackets plus I got the after market ones from 4wp...so i have an extra set of yours doesnt..let me know
