I trimmed the middle grill suppport for full plate BFF bumper install.

But relocate a pump? That sounds drastic.

Could anyone please post pics of how the front bumper reinforcement brackets look and tie into the frame?

 

I haven't looked at it in a while but I think it goes back to the supercharger but again, havent looked at it in a while so forgot where its connected to.

but based off of this old pic, i relocated the pump, cut off that support bracket where the pump is connected somewhere higher up behind the grill, and removed that grill support that is just under the grill in this pic.

 

It still needs to be low in order for the pump part to work. Ill look at mine. But i have a Pelfrey front bumper

 

its still low, I just moved it over off of that post but in the same general area. I'd have to go look when I get home.

 

not the best picture but its that bracket under the ADS resi. on the front, it goes between the front bumper and the nuts on the mounting bolts and then on the back side, you pass a bolt through the support --> frame --> big metal washer and bolt it down. the hole in the frame already exists so you just need to pass the bolt through

 

Cool thank you. And that bolt on the bottom? In the lower cross member?

Seems like Pelfreybilt (which I have) uses a very different approach

 

I got a set of these reinforcements for my pelfreybilt. Work fine

Anyone have pics of the bedside reinforcements on how they mounted theirs? Also for you 3rd genners who did the HC and what your measurements are from the lip of the bedrail

 

the bottom bolt ... the one at the bottom in the vertical position? Thats bolted through the bottom of the bumper with a big metal washer. you can see the bottom of the bumper has a 90 degree bend at the bottom to bolt to this spot:

Nice! How far is your cut below the tail light? His pics show to cut even with the bottom of the tail light, but that appears to make the gap to big...IMO

 

I cut 1/2in under the tail light. I test fit and it worked. Threw some door trim under it and called it good
