Rpmfab.com I am going with this 3rd gen bumper. IMO best looking one. Less money too. Nothing against the victory bumper, I considered it.

    Finally got the bumper install....

    Date ordered: 5/25
Date received: 6/29. Very well packaged.

    Review:
Holes to mount bumper did not align with the studs on truck. Had to drill/modified holes in order to fit properly.

Have very little access to put on both rear bolt for winch.

A template should be included to cut bumper.

Feedback welcome on my custom grill. I'm not a fan of light bar!

If I could do it over, I would cut the bumper lower instead of going by victory 4x4 YouTube video.

What do you mean by lower? Like cut less off the bumper?

Don’t do it. I made the mistake of cutting mine close(1/8” gap) because my OCD told me too. Until I took it on some knarly off-road and the body flex pushed the fenders into the steel bumper, breaking my headlight tabs and tweaking it. The larger gap might look ugly but it’s function over form.

All right guys, after installing the bumper I finally got the chance to align the pods and recheck everything.

Two things that bother me and maybe ya can help answer one question...

    1. Pod light brackets seem to be out of line. If I adjust the light to be straight away, the pods are angled too much where u can see 3/4 of the pod. If I angle it where u can see the pods, the light will shine at 11-10 and 1-2 o'clock angle. Looks like I will have to do some mod on the brackets... Grr!

    2. On 1st page of this thread someone asked about the steep fairlead angle. Upon inspection I can see the the synthetic cable is touching the fairlead plate that came with the bumper. This should be a no go right? It looks sharp enough where it'll cut or wear the synthetic cable.

That hard edge is going to slice right through the synthetic.

I contacted Victory4x4 and sent them some photos. Awaiting for their response... Did some research and this is not safe. Rope suppose to move freely away from winch plate... This mean the rope is rubbing on the edge of both back plate provided by victory and the winch plate purchased separately. Grr

Another thing I post on my initial review is having very limited access mounting the two rear bolt onto winch. Come to find out, the access holes on my bumper is way off compared to the bumper they had on youtube. This probably explain why the mounting holes on bumper didnt line up with the mounting studs on the truck, fog/pods mounting brackets are way off, winch rope touching edge of both back plate provided by them and winch plate.

It was a b***h to put in two of the winch bolt and I was b***hing about the way they have the two holes offset... Now I know why!

This is the snapshot of the video on YouTube Screenshot_2018-07-02-13-36-21.jpg Screenshot_2018-07-02-13-36-31.jpg

This is a pix of my by bumper. U can see the holes are way off from the bolt that is bolted onto the winch. I got F**KED!20180702_133505.jpg

I hope they replace the bumper for you. Too many issues with it.

I know very little about winches and pods so I may be asking a dumb question: did you confirm compatibility with this bumper prior to purchase?

Yup! I watched the video a few times before making the purchase. In their video it says that it'll work any similar size winch other than the warn VR. When I called to order i specifically asked if it'll work with the smitty x20. I was assure that it will fit. Mounting holes are the same spec. I feel like this one was made in a fast lead time and they just weld shit together to get it out.

    1. Had to modify mounting holes on bumper to fit.
    2. Pod brackets are way off
    3. Access holes to install winch bolt is way off.
    4. Synthetic rope is rubbing against edge of back plate and winch plate.

On top of that I just look at my online statement and I was over charge of $25.00

I'm not making things up... Already called them but just want to inform everyone here what I'm going through.

Still havent heard from them. I hope they're working with a solution...
