Does well considering the trailer is 5,000 to 5,500lbs loaded.

I live in the eastern Sierra so most of the time I'm dragging it around in the mountains between 4,500 and 7,500 ft elevation. The truck will hold 55mph if you aren't afraid to make it work (2nd gear wound out).

Transmission gets a little warm, even towing in 4, so I installed an auxiliary plate cooler last fall...haven't towed any real distance since then so I can't compare temps yet. FWIW, I monitor the transmission temp at the torque converter which reads a bit warmer than the pan in general, I'm running Dakar leaf packs with the 3rd leaf removed (same as the new light duty springs), and run a weight distribution hitch.

True, I had a 6 pound cat who had a large mane. She lived to be 23.

Trackday today. Sumo Springs worked great. Triple digits reached a blistering 111* at 3pm. That sucked.

2 and a half layers of oak rounds stacked as tightly as I could in the bed with more on top. Hit the bump stops a couple times on the way back. Definitely pushing the max load capacity...Screenshot_20180702-002315~2.jpg Screenshot_20180702-002251~2.jpg .Screenshot_20180702-002301~2.jpg

I got tired of my truck squatting every time I put something in the back so I installed Firestone Ride Rite air bags...soooo much better when loaded, no more front end floating around.

A lot of dirt and sod and then after a good wash I loaded up the truck with my buddies stuff and helped him move.

Cheap bumper on ebay, altho I dont really recommend it. In the end I am happy with it but it does not come with a receiver hitch at all and the OEM wont work with it so I had to have a receiver hitch made to the tune of $459. So it really isn't any cheaper than any of the name brand bumpers.

Same! I have a buddy who has a tree cutting business and I help him some times. Free wood rocks, I'm glad I'm back in Oregon. I have a ton in the yard cut to length, just gotta split it. These ones I'm gonna use for a retaining wall, the ladies garden, and whatever else we can use it on.

Wish I had gotten a picture of some of the other stuff I had hauled. Someone wanted me to move a huge ass camping trailer from the town over and to the left you can see telephone poles, hauled a bunch of them on a trailer to the house.

It's pretty noticable with Tacomas, the sag, right? How much did those bags cost? Do you know if there's any calculation on how much extra they'll allow you to haul? I have 2.5 in the front and just an add-a-leaf in the back so it doesn't take much to make it look like it's sagging, I'm always worried I'm putting too much back there.

You could feel it hitting the bump stops? I just recently had mine full similarly if not more with pine and it was sagging pretty hard. I don't think I felt the bump stops but I have a 2.5 in the front with only an add-a-leaf in the back, so It's hard to tell when I'm sagging too much.

So if you're hitting the bump stops you should get ride rites? Total nooby here so any insight or explanation is appreciated. How bad is it to hit the bump stops? How much extra load does air bags allow you to haul?
